N0t again.Biyotch move! http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...enge-manny-pacquiao-preapproved-gloves-denied factory-sealed gloves had been inspected by the commission's executive director and chief inspector earlier this week. Shortly after the weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, Pacquiao's camp was informed by the commission that Mayweather's representatives contested the use of Pacquiao's preferred Reyes-manufactured boxing gloves :nono
"However, in this case Pacquiao's gloves had been inspected, approved and held in the possession of the commission to avoid any threat to the pay-per-view bout going on as scheduled." So, basically, Nevada State Athletic Commission told Mayweather's Camp to stfu and sit down.
I'm not shocked. I just couldn't imagine they would let Pac wear his 8 oz reyes, but I'm still curious... are they making him wear a different kind or did NATC approve of them?
I'm rooting Pac, but I'm picking Floyd. That was a low move by Mayweather though. Real, real low. My one "do not mess with area" for this fight were the gloves, and of course Mayweather disapproves less than 24 hours from the fight.
OH, the title says FAILS in challenge. So yeah, Mayweather's side said that Pacquiao's gloves were unacceptable but Nevada overruled and said they were and to get over it. THANK YOU NEVADA!!!
Man up and grow a pair. That is the biggest cop out. Im going for one but think the other is going to winatsch Im team pac period! If he gets beat fair and square i give credit to Floyd and move on with my life.
Desperate move by Floyd's team indeed. It's probably why Floyd looked nervous and tense during the weigh-in, as they were not able to force Manny wearing pillows. Floyd's team was successful in not letting Maidana wear his Reyes gloves.
It wasn't reyes, it was the Mexican Everlast MX... And don't forget Maidana tried to cheat with his initial broken in pair of gloves.
