garcia vs ? canelo vs ? broner vs. maidana 2 any of these or all of them has a good chance of landing on the undercard of fllyd's next fight. my personal assessment is that: garcia, mostly likely. he is not floyd's future opponent for nothing. canelo- if this is vs. cotto, more likely not. vs anyone, maybe, unless canelo would insist on fighting on his own. odds are he is not on the undercard unless floyd pays him a share of the ppv buys. broner- vs. maidana-the way broner's jaw looks, this will take time. vs. anyone, as tune up, jaw still needs time. odds are, broner too will not be on the undercard. who is still left? matthysee, lara? edit: forgot to make poll
I'm hoping they stack this card give and for some reason I think Golden Boy is going to have one of there best cards ever for May per view.
he did not show his middle finger accepting c/w, did he? who knows he bends over again this time? he isnt true mexican anyway.
hmm, so you dont believe mayweather-khan is already signed? interesting. signed and announced are diff things just to be clear.
There is a financial aspect that goes into creating under-cards. Canelo will never be on a Floyd undercard again. He has a March 8th date to himself. Having Broner and Garcia on the card is a very long shot as they each earn more than a million+ a fight. Its not impossible but it's a long shot. Thurman can certainly be on the card. From the post fight interview, him vs. Paulie is not out of the question. J'Leon vs. Thurman vs. Paulie Broner vs. Jean/Peterson winner Floyd vs. Khan/Maidana or J'Leon vs. Thurman vs. Paulie Garcia vs. Jean/Peterson Winner Mayweather vs. Khan (Broner vs Maidana) on another date.
floyds' fights alone is alraedy a financial challenge in itself. you have a certain amount of ppv buys (1kk+) to meet, which is not easy leaving the burden on floyd alone as proven by the guerrero fight. so you have to strike the right balance between spending jst enough and spending more to ensure breakeven. your 2nd option doesnt look like it can break 1kk buys.
You might be right. You would probably have to drop J'Leon and add a solid mexican fighter. If Peterson wins, you have a fighter representing Philly, DC and NYC. All 3 cities have good boxing fan bases and huge populations. You get the Mexican fighter on the card and it blows it up.
