Totally forgot about that. Congrats Champ.

Who's the last person to unify at 2 weight divisions at the same time.

I dont remeber..a long time. Calzaghe had both ring titles at 168-175 but not unfied.

To have 2 titles in both weight classes and be lineal is crazy!

Im telling you if Cotto wins he will fight Cotto at 160 in Septemebr for 3 lineal titles! Im 99% sure it will happen. fight did 1.4 2 years ago, it can do the same this time or maybe even more

That **** would be crazy. He'd have to put on some weight against Cotto though.

Cant come in the ring 148 this time.

I know. hes not supposed to be anywhere near that weight class.

People can say cherrypick all he wants. histroy will say he was lineal champ in 3 weight classes at the same time. Im almost sure that nobody will ever do that ever again.

Thats the only thing that could enhance his legacy. beating Garcia, Pacquiao, thurman etc etc will not. He also knows that fight will do over a million buys and money talks

and Garcia has WBC/WBA and ring, thats the same thing for 3 weight class across the board. I would reitre after that. Cotto i think 160 is better then Garcia 140, most people do too

if that was one of his goals i'd prefer. 47/54/60 then 40/47/54

either would be legacy enhancing thoo

Maybe Floyd can become Fighter Of The Decade like Manny Pacquiao.

Please stop belts are pass around these days like whores !

Those accomplishments are only as good as the guys who held the straps !

No one prior could do that because one belts weren't just awarded to guys who didn't deserve it such as the case with Canelo's WBC belt and Manny's so called jr middle weight title that he won off Cheato !

It's easier for guys to hold belts in multiple divisions. I mean Joe Calzghe beats one guy in Hopkins and he's a two division champ yet never defends the belt !

The only real title worth anything is the undisputed champion .

I think you're missing the point. By that logic Pac never defended his 154 belt or his 126 belt or his 112 belt.

When a smaller fighter goes up to fight the bigger guy, the thing that makes it enticing to them or worth the risk is that theres a belt involved.

No one wants to make a steady diet of fighting bigger guys, but when theres a belt there, it makes it worth it.

I wouldnt be mad if Floyd went to 160 , took the belt and called it quits on the division. The risk is going up to fight the bigger guy for the belt, after the belt, get the f--- back in your division. No point in staying.

    :good:good

Of course if he goes to 160 its for 1 fight then hes out. thats not his weight class and has no buissness fighting there. just like RJJ went up. hes no damn HW fighter! found a chance against Ruiz, made history and bounced (which hurt him because Tarver ruined him) but Mayweather would be going for the lineal crown not just a title.
