by Bert Mitchell THE hype is almost over and Ricky Hatton is less than 48 hours from what he calls his defining moment, a meeting with the man rated the best pound for pound fighter on the planet. full story: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport...ster_floyd_uses_bling_to_cover_insecurity.php
Wow! You guys are a bunch of internet psychologist. WTF do you folks know. He uses his jewelry and money as a status symbol. As a sign that he made it. It has nothing to do with his insecurity. What do you know about his life as a kid. American culture teaches this materialism. Its how our economy thrives and floyd is a product of it.
So if I have millions and I decide to by me a diamond studded watch or Rolex I'm insecure atsch I guess the mother ****er living in a cardboard box is one bad mother ****er , he just oozing with confidence
If Mayweather or any other rich athlete or actor wants to walk around with a 100 thousand dollar watch, or a 200 thousand diamond ring let em to each his own, they have bodyguards to protect them:rasta all the bling and flash dosen't make them a better person, or gives them any more class, something a lot of these idiots are seriously lacking:-(
I see nothing wrong with a person wanting to have nice things in life the materialism label is stupid any time a person has nice things they get called materialistic damn people act like you supposed be a bum on the street living in a box. Also when did having jewelry become a bad thing would people rather him have a drug lab in his house.
First of all, for all of you people out there that are unfamiliar with the URBAN COMMUNITY, "bling"(expensive chains etc) is just a part of the of the afro-american culture. There is nothing wrong with showing off your wealth with materials or items that make you happy. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with insecurity. I bet whoever thinks that is the case, probably thinks a surfer that wears a choker chain is insecure too...right:-( ? Absolutely ridiculous...i blame the schooling for this foolishness....or the upbringing.
