At this point saying it would be a tough fight for Floyd to win is an understatement, but I'm interested to see how Golovkin goes against Monroe. If he struggles to cut off the ring against Monroe, you could say the likes of Lara and Mayweather have a chance.
When's last time Floyd fought at 154 and how many times total? Is the truly THE MAN at 154? Golovkin ends him at 154 or 160.
Yeah, it will be interesting to see how he cuts it off vs a very fast slickster Got to appreciate them matching Gennady with all sorts of styles
Worst thing for Floyd in this matchup is that the shoulderrol defence would be completely ineffective against Golovkin (if GGG can still safely make 154) and will even work in Gennady's favor when he tries to use it. He will walk trough Floyd's counters and use his cranial compacter punch to circumvent Floyd's defence. It won't even take long before Floyd is on the floor.
For the people who didn't quite understand, here's Golovkin's overhand left hook :good about 10 sec in... [yt]fMsON57EZbs[/yt]
at this point in their careers gennedy prob takes this, but you can really make a case that floyd could win 1.GGG weighs in 173 or 174 on fightnight, how is this guy going to make 154 (for the first time in how long mind you?) without losing something that makes him what he is (be it speed , stamina , unreal power) 2. floyd is very accurate and GGG has a great chin but is very open to being hit. if the drop to 154 hindered GGGs power and this went 12? its almost certainly mayweathers fight. should be noted that mayweather has a solid beard himself (but i dont think any man stands up to 160 GGG)
well lara is calling out GGG (cant really blame GGG for not taking it seeing as hed have to drain down to 154 for a **** payday against a relatively unknown fighter as far as casual exposure is concerned). maybe there is more to it though
