Both of you are totally underestimating Hearns.

Hearns was a master boxer himself. He outboxed Leonard and Benitez, two master boxers who were bigger than Floyd.

The one thing that bothered Hearns was power. Floyd does not have power.

Plus, Hearns has a huge reach, height and power advantage over little Floyd.Hearns wide UD Floyd who will pretty much be on his bicycle all the time.

Loses to them all but probably has his moments against Leonard & Duran, gets blitzed by Hearns and is ground down by Hagler who has the biggest size advantage (I'm assuming Leonard & Hearns fight him at 147).

I did not say I would pick Floyd, I said its POSSIBLE, as in if you put a gun to my head I wouldnt be certain and confident Floyd would lose.

I am Jesus and I approve of this post

are we talking a 37 y/o Floyd vs those 4 in their prime ? cause that's what this reads like.

they were all shot to **** by 37. so if we are going prime for prime the only fight that would be possible would be duran and that prob 135/140 which Floyd outboxes him by landslide. we could use 244-2007 version of Floyd to take on hearns and srl at ww but that's not prime Floyd. the only chance would be for hearns due to reach and height.

but non of those 3 are mugging fouling brawlers, they are boxers and boxer/puncher.

hagler was a big career mw so that's kind of out the question.
you guys have been using a version of Floyd that was older and had more fights than 3 of them and those 3 couldn't beat D level fighters even close to floyds age.

Mayweather is just a glorified journeyman level operator with no offensive game and a defense relying on hilarious Sissy-moves. Hes not beating anyone with five potshots a round then cowardly turning his back to his opponents for the other 2:50 while hunkering down the ropes

Well that was the difference, THEY FOUGHT THE BEST!!!!!!!:deal:deal
Mayweather has a weak resume that's why he is undefeated.

Loses to all 4, although in fairness, he is smaller than 3 of them.

There's no shame in coming up short against these 4, they are all ATG fighters.

Floyd beats SRL, are you on crack ? SRL who knocked out Hearns, beat Duran and Hagler by boxing their heads off, SRL who could throw bombs with both hands.

You don't know **** about boxing :yikes

:yep Good points. I think Floyd is a great fighter, but a level below the Fab 4. Rarely do you see the best lightweight, best welterweight, best jr middle, and best middleweight fight against each other. Oscar was a media darling too, also started at 130, and faced the best up to 160. Then Floyd makes a career from Oscars leftovers . I know Floyd is eagerly awaiting the winner of Maravilla- Cotto. Floyd will watch if Maravilla is ripe for the taking. We all remembered how he said he'd be interested in the Martinez-Williams 2 winner, then after Maravillas destruction of Williams, Floyd suddenly not very interested.

I may be underestimating Hearns, that's fair. He was an excellent boxer, no doubt.

Just thinking about it more, I don't know how Floyd could slow down Hearns' attack. He would have a hard time getting Hearns' respect because of his lack of power. That's true.
