SRL should get a mention? Lmao! Please provide a cite that shows Duran as a lineal middleweight champ. You can't because he wasn't. What is it with you knuckleheads about Duran being a "lineal" middleweight champ?
I clearly think he loses to SRL and Hagler..like I have no doubt on those two. I feel like style wise Hearns is a bad fight for him and he would most likely lose. As for Duran I think he may be able to beat Duran if he could make it to the second half of the fight, that fight is a tough to call.
This is a testament o floyds greatness, that he is compared to these naturally bigger guys. What would they do to pac then?
Gay doesn't belong in the same sentence with those hof. All those four duked it out with each other. Steroid floyd runs to africa to avoid getting exposed
I think some people think too much about the Leonard rematch, which was no doubt embarassing to Duran for quitting, but he was obviously difficult to outbox. Leonard usually didn't fight like that, some remember him for dancing because of that fight and the Hagler fight, and it was more competitive than often remembered anyway. And people also remember his struggles with Wilfred Benitez (no shame in being outboxed by him) and Kirkland Laing. Duran had very quick feet and blended offense & defense as well as anyone. He was difficult to hit cleanly and a terrific counterpuncher. I do think highly of Floyd's skills and intelligence, so I think Floyd is competitive, but I wouldn't pick him to beat Duran. I'm speaking about both of them in their primes nautrally.
He would not beat Dutan. Just see how Mayweather handled a pressure fighter in Maidana which is levels below Duran. Mayweather, if he had balls to fight Duran, would have called for the referee to stop Duran from coming unto him.
