Due to current events, if it happens, Floyd vs Mosley which is a highly anticipated fight, Manny vs Clottey, another big fighter, and finally Floyd vs Manny later in the year sounds like an act from the boxing gods.. I'm a fan of both fighters and a win vs Mosley should further Floyd's skill and credibility and shut down some "ducking" accusations, and a win vs Clottey would solidify Manny's ability to take anyone out regardless of size. /rant All in all, maybe the fight is on such a different order of magnitude that the initial negotiations were just to give fans a small taste, and then ramp up the hype by tieing up some loose ends with some other fighters and finishing it off with a grand finale. On the macro level, it could be a 1 year promotion for a megafight..
Yea mate i agree totally. This has turned out to be the ideal scenario and could be Floyd Mayweathers defining year. If im not mistaken, 2010 could be the best year for boxing in my lifetime so far. You got the fights you mentioned, Sugar Shane vs Money May n then Floyd vs Pac. Along with Haye vs a Klit and Ricky Hattons comeback things dont get much better!
I think that late 2010 (but before it got too cold in Las Vegas, so maybe late September/early October) was the plan all along in order to maximize the money that the fight could make.
