Floyd is impossible to fight unless you can keep him in place. Pacquiao had never shown the ability to "shrink the ring".

Pity Pac never fought a slickster before Mayweather.

Always felt like it would be the same result in 2010

For all the raving i heard of it being a Sweet science schooling & a masterclass when i watched it i just saw Mayweather occasionally grazing Pacquiao with jabs that weren't even being thrown with any authority & especially all the dirty tactics that he kept getting away with without no warning or deduction,

Every time Pacquiao would engage Floyd would either clinch or he'll push Pac's head down & use his elbows & that was when he wasn't on the retreat most of the time,

What was funny is how Pacquiao really is quick in motion that even when Mayweather punched with him coming in Pacquiao blocked it completely using just his forearm & instead landed a counter punch himself on Floyd but all we heard from Andre Ward on commentary was great right hand from Floyd & again when Floyd missed a jab Ward was back on commentary hyping it up when it didn't even come close to landing & was blocked with Manny's glove, just laughable.

When people say it was an easy fight they show their bias and/or absence of intelligence.

That fight was very close. Floyd win at least 8 rounds and Manny won at least 2. Outside of Mannys 4th and 6th round wins almost every round was very narrow. Floyd edged almost all the narrow rounds. That was no walk in the park.

With that in mind...Floyd was 37 or 38 so I imagine a younger Floyd whose more loose mightve been able to separate better but that was a highly competitive chess match.

I had Floyd winning 115-113 or 116-112. Far from a schooling though

It always made most sense since Pac struggled with counter punching since he could be timed. Especially by the most talented boxer in that era.
But still Pac destroyed oscar, hatton and Cotto.
He was going at full speed and who knows what would have happened in that fight in 2010?

Even of it was exactly the same, it would have meant way more.
Floyd would have gotten a lot more credit if he had beaten Pac 5 years before that.
Sure they still made a lot of money but the 2015 fight sucked and hurt boxing overall.

Oh that Pacquiao from 2009-2012 was a tornado that just wouldn't stop coming at you regardless of what you threw at him along with his footwork being one of the best at that particular time not to mention his undying endurance/stamina,

Just look at that massively faded version who fought with a torn rotator cuff compared alongside with Floyd having his hands injected plus the Illegal IV he got caught using which most forget to include in the conversation,

With all that said it still ended by being a nick knack fight until the very end & you're now starting to see people who disliked either fighter being more appreciative to the high level of skill they both displayed that night regardless.
