anyone have any real news on whats going on?

last i heard pac hinted he would accept 14 day cut off for sake of fans. i also heard the drug testers and conte said this is reasonable.

    has flod jr responded yet?

i do know last time they said they would not negotiate through the press again but the silence is killing me!

To knowledge, a great Boxer beats a great Puncher any day.

I highly doubt anything is actually going on right now. Floyd just had a big fight and if he's truly vacationing, this not thinking about drug tests and what not right now.

Sounds like Arum/Top Rank has sent an offer to Golden Boy and they are waiting for a response from the Mayweather camp. 50/50 split and 14 day cutoff are the main components of the deal.

Team Mayweather are taking their time responding. I believe Floyd is just relaxing and taking some time off before getting down to business.

They have until the end of June to reach an agreement for the November 13 date. That will give them 4.5 months of promotion which is about the minimum they need/want.

I'm actually starting to think that Mr. Arum is going to play ball with Golden Boy and make the fight. With Manny having won a congressional seat in the Phillipines, Arum knows his days with his cash cow are numbered, and the Floyd fight represents an opportunity for him to put millions of dollars in his pocket (perhaps for the last time with Pacquiao). There was a time when I was convinced that Bobby Boy would never contribute a dollar to the Mayweather bank account, but I'm beginning to change my mind given that Pac looks like he is damn close to retirement, and some other big Arum names (Cotto, Margarito) seem to be short on big fight prospects. By the end of June, I suspect this fight gets made as a 50/50 split with a 60/40 split to Mayweather on PPV buys, and a 14 day cutoff on testing. Thoughts?

I think they are close enough to make a deal this time around too. As you said, Arum realizes that this may be his last chance for a big Pacquiao fight before he retires. Pacquiao also just spent US$ 7 million of his own money on his political campaign so I'm sure 40 million sounds more attractive than 10 or 12 million fighting Margo or Cotto at this point.

I think Mayweather will start ahead (53-47) on the split with the winner getting a larger share of the PPV revenue. 14 days cutoff for blood will be accepted with random urine up until the fight.

I'm confident that they will make this happen. :good

on the scene they got something about floyd wantin more money...BUT WHAT I DONT GET IS HOW ITS OK FOR PACQUIAO TO DO THAT TO RICKY BUT ITS NOT OK FOR FLOYD AND ALL THESE CLOWNS GETTIN MAD....

I WANT HIM TO TAKE A 50/50 AS WELL....CANT KNOCK HIM FOR TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE BETTER PPV NUMBERS THOUHGH..

JUST LIKE PACQUIAO DID RICKY...FLOYD SHOULD DO PAC...52-48
