Ortiz is most definitely not prepared for Floyd as of yet.

I like Ortiz but he needs to fight a guy like Torres then Bradley or Campbell before facing a guy like PBF.

Nothing. Ortiz isn't ready yet he really hasn't beaten anyone of note either. I'm ready to see him step up but not to a elite fighter like PBF yet. He needs to fight the Holt's and Torres' of the world.

How is it passing the torch if he beats Ortiz?

:D He wont get past Maidana in the first place anyway!

    Bradley,Floyd.................. .

His next opponent is Maidana who will probably beat the living **** out of Ortiz.
Up to now Ortiz has only faced very limited journeyman and some American clubfighters.Maidana plays in a different dimension.
If I were you I wouldnt bet a single coin on Ortiz in his upcomming fight with Maidana.

I would love to see this fight take place down the road. Especially if Mayweather gets past Mosley, Cotto and Pac. I would be rooting for Ortiz too

assuming of course that Ortiz doesnt get sparked by Maidena, who is a VERY live dog in this fight. Maidena is no cupcake.

No,he isnt. Maidana showed a classy performance against Kotelnik. It will be a leap of faith for Ortiz to square off against the hard-punching Argie.A huge steop up in class and quality for Ortiz. He has never faced such a good and dangerous foe in his entire pro career up to now.I for my part dont think that he will pass the test successfully.
