Why is that so hard to believe? I mean, his style is very tough to take advantage of..very good BOXER...AGAIN..ITS "MYTHICAL MATCHUPS"...U CAN'T DENY FLOYD'S SKILLS MAN...VERY GOOD DEFENSE, GOOD LENGTHY ARM REACH, EXCELLENT FOOTWORK, GREAT REFLEXES, AND GREAT SPEED...MATCHED UP WITH HIS ABILITY (THOUGH THE FANS DON'T LIKE IT, HIS OPPONENTS DO SEEM TO HAVE TROUBLE FIGURING HIS STYLE OUT) TO KEEP IT A "BOXING MATCH" AND TO NOT GIVE HIS OPPONENTS ANGLES TO LAND BIG POWER SHOTS I WOULD SAY FLOYD MATCHES UP QUIT WELL WITH SOME OF THE ATG WW....NOT SAYING HE WOULD BEAT THEM ALL BY ANY MEANS...J

UST SAYING HIS SKILLS ARE THEIR REGARDLESS OF RESUME AND YOU HAVE TO CONSIDER THAT..THIS ARTICLE IS BASED ON IF HE DID TAKE THESE FIGHTS NOT IF HE DUCKED THEM...:deal

Floyd might crack the top 35 in the WW's, but may be ranked a bit higher as a LW.
Floyd hasn't done much as a WW.

Yes, Floyd's skills will always be there. But it is like this, Ivan Calderon is supremely gifted technically, but if you pit him against the all-time greats at lightweight? Calderon's skills won't even matter because there is a point where outboxing an opponent would be physically impossible given weight and strength discrepancies.

Floyd has fought three guys who can be considered natural welterweights at one point or another, are any of these guys worthy of all-time greatness consideration? More to the point, do they have attributes that approximate those of the greats at welterweight, that victories over them would now translate to even start discussions of Floyd versus these ATG's? Heck, Floyd's best wins at welterweight/junior middle are Judah and dela Hoya, and he looked vulnerable in spots. How can anybody even translate that to discussions against the all time great welterweights?

again...i dont believe its bad at all..floyd is top 70 by most fans and top 50 in my book...all time that is too...i dont think there is anything wrong with matching him up well with the atg's...u keep talkign about this guy did this and this guy did that..maybe when he beats mosley he can get a little respect...ya'll nig3az act like he is garbage...he is undefeated and he has faced WORLD LEVEL COMPETITION AT EVERY WEIGHT CLASS HE HAS BEEN IN:deal U CAN HATE THE MAN BUT AGAIN...STYLES MAKE FIGHTS AND I THINK HE MATCHES UP WELL...NOT SAYING HE KNOCKS SOME OF THE ATGS' OUT BUT IF SOMEHOW A FIGHT COULD TAKE PLACE AND HE WON IT I BET YOU WOULD MAKE UP SOME BULL**** EXCUSE AND CONTINUE TO HATE:hat

Okay, let's wait first if somehow a fight could take place with Floyd against Mosley--I know it's signed, but let's wait until it actually takes place, and then the rest of the top welterweights, and how Floyd fares in them, before giving Gavin Evans' 6-4 score even some semblance of a worthy look.

I tend to take all mythical match ups with a grain of salt. In the end, it all boils down to personal opinion which is more often than not biased in some form or another.

The Ring article was horrific. ****er should be dragged across hot coals for picking Floyd to beat Walker on cuts.

At least he got the Burley pick right:yep

I still think it's unfair that when people match Floyd up with ATG's, it's most commonly against welters.

The guy's had 5 of his 40 fights there, and as so many people like to say, most of 'em weren't actually welterweights themselves.

Floyd against the ATGs from 140-130 is more fair, imo, and he does much better there then he does against the all time great welters.
