If this isn't a trolling thread, I don't know what is.

The thread has nothing specific, just a vague question that can't even be answered because it is so broad.

"Uh, all Floyd groupies think 'x'."

    Ban this reject.

I guess you never saw PBF fight at 130-140 then right? PBF was more at his natural weight in those classes at 147 or 154 he's not at his best weight. He threw more combos and was much more aggressive. PBF is a great

fighter especially at 130 and 135.

Because he's undefeated, and to them, that means undefeatable, despite the fact that his best win is over a past prime DLH, who still ran him close and was up after 7 before gassing as he is so known for.

They think he'd beat Duran and Chavez without taking into account how much trouble he had with a lesser version of Chavez in Castillo, and the fact that Duran is better than both.

Hell, that fitzgerald clown actually thinks Floyd would beat Hearns. If that isn't the stupidest thing I've ever heard(from someone being completely serious) on this site I don't know what is.

He didnt have problems with Jesus Chavez he blew him out was cruising to a wide UD before stopping him. For JLC he was injured going into the fight it has little bearing on how a fight between him and Chavez or Duran would play out.

Chavez is probably one of the most overrated boxers in history. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for him. People think Chavez would give PBF such problems he's slow as hell easy to hit and doesn't have more power than JLC. PBF makes Chavez look bad at any weight. He was a great body puncher who could take a great punch. Pea schooled him Randall beat him and Taylor was on his way to a win before getting robbed. PBF is a more complete boxer than Chavez and would beat him 8 out of 10 times period.:deal

As far as Duran I addressed him in an earlier thread.

Lederman actually had Chavez up(though that was unjust). Floyd was landing the cleaner shots all night long, but constantly moving while being on the defensive other than select spots while the other guy is pressing and throwing leather all night, making you uncomfortable is bound to lose you some rounds.

He's not slower than JLC at all, and is better in every single area than JCC was. Watch Chavez's fight with Rosario at 135, and tell me that's not impressive. He also had underrated head movement in close. Floyd would not be countering him in close. It's with fighters like JLC and Chavez(as well as Cotto, as Floyd knows so well) that Floyd has trouble on the inside, as they are not just pressure fighters, but very technically skilled pressure fighters, ones that won't simply swing, miss, and be countered. No more power than JLC? That is ridiculous. JLC wouldn't have stood a chance with Taylor, especially at 140, and Chavez beat him up bad, despite losing most of the rounds. He ruined Taylor's career with that fight.

He's a better pure boxer, whoopedy doo. You're acting like Chavez is going to stand in the middle of the ring with Floyd and try to out-jab and counter him. He was one of the best ever in terms of cutting off the ring and keeping the space close between him and his opponents. Regardless of what you guys want to admit, the Castilo fight DOES play into this matchup, and largely, as Castillo was the same style of fighter, but two levels below. Floyd was fine in the first fight. His injury is overblown, and it showed in his performance as he never had a problem throwing with either hand. It wasn't as if he broke his hands mid-fight as he did against Carlos Hernandez.

Pea was better than Floyd in every sense of the word. Not only that, but the fight was at 147, past Chavez's prime. Chavez took about 3 rounds off Pea at WW. At 135, the Chavez of the Rosario fight would've made it legitimately close, but still would've lost, as Pea was also much better at 135. Floyd, on the other hand, is nowhere near as good against pressure fighters mainly as Pea was. That was Pea's speciality, whereas Floyd has shown us most of his least impressive performances against the pressure fighters. Randall? Gimme a break, let's not act like that was vintage Chavez.

I'd like to hear it again. Chavez was a more direct pressure fighter than Duran. Better at cutting off the ring, or more accustomed to it anyway, than Duran was. Duran had other parts to his game, but in terms of cutting off the ring and straight up pressuring, Chavez was more dedicated to that craft than Duran was.

Quote it like someone who's not on crack so I can respond, instead of quoting your response as well, making it impossible for me to counter your points without looking on the previous page.

Castillo does not have the same style as Duran. Duran was a brawler to the bone. Winging wide shots. Castillo is a complete fighter but lacks the outstanding speed with his hands and leg. Castillo could do it all and had one punch KO power which is why he was competitive with Floyd. Meaning the boy can box on the inside and outside with a big punch. Duran maybe bigger and stronger but does not have the style to give Floyd a loss.

You're right, Castillo does not have the same style as Duran. Castillo was a technical in-fighter with basic inside combinations, excellent physical strength, but not too much versatility.

But where you're completely off base is your description of Duran as a 'brawler to the bone.' Duran was a dynamic all around fighter who could box from mid range and also maul you in close. His fluidity is far better than Castillo's as is the speed, timing, accuracy, and power. Castillo did not have one-punch KO power - he wore guys down with a steady accumulation of power punches. This wasn't Alexis Arguello we're talking about. Another thing that separates Duran from Castillo is the defense. Castillo's defense was always leaky, wheras Duran had perhaps the best defense in boxing history for fighters with ultra-aggressive styles. He could slip shots and counter, roll away from punches, and pick shots off. A very versatile defensive fighter. Saying Duran was simply a brawler is dead wrong. Guys like Michael Katsidis are brawlers. Watch Duran fight Iran Barkley and describe his style. The guy could do it all. And he didn't just throw wide punches. I have to assume that you've never seen Duran fight if you truly believe this.

His footspeed, head movement, and feinting would guarantee that he gets close to Floyd. Floyd lacks the active jab or ability off the backfoot to keep Duran at a comfortable distance for most of the fight. And on the inside, he'd be at a big disadvantage. We'd see Duran outworking him, mauling him, and generally roughing the hell out of him. Duran's defensive skills coupled with his technical ability inside mean that Floyd wouldn't be catching him as often as he usually catches opponents. On the other hand, Floyd would be getting hit more than ever. Don't tell me that Castillo had all the tools to give Floyd a close fight, but Duran couldn't do the same because that is complete bull****.

Duran not only had the style to give Floyd a loss, he WOULD give Floyd a loss.

You're the same person who said Mayweather lasts the distance with a prime Hagler. I just felt like throwing that out there.

PBF is definitely top 10 ATGs at LW but Hank Armstrong would take him out. He had limitless stamina, a great chin and just plain knew how to fight
