I have footage of this fight in which 45 seconds in a question is asked by the commentator to Roy Jones i think wether he likes the stealers or the patriots? And Floyd looks over and anwsers the patriots....is tjhis **** real? wtf? shows he clearly should of been fighting somebody a big tougher than Brussles haha. I think another question is asked "Eagles or Falcons?" and Floyd replies i like Michael Vick..... anyone seen the footage? and anyone got any other times a boxer has spoken to commentators, thankyou.
It's real. Saw it live. He was being asked about the upcoming championship games in the NFL. However, Brussles, like it or not, was a title eliminator. You can question whether he should have been going after that particular title, but it is what he had to go through to get to Gatti. (In hindsight, perhaps Gatti was the champion to go after, KT had already signed to fight Hatton, and Harris in hindsight, may have been a lesser fighter than anyone thought)
Yeah - I was watching that fight too. I thought it was funnier that Jim asked the second question after Floyd stole the first question from Roy. Floyd even said "Ummm" - like he had to think about it, while he was fighting.
against evander i believe when he was on the inside and evander is starting to work away and he just moves evanders arm and talks to the guy at ringside it happens all the time ali did it,bobn foster done it a few times.....even little ian napa has... to all those above who feel that makes floyd a all time great becuase he can talk in a fight (against man with no foreward momentum).
exactly it's a right of passage for a young michigan* fighter. *im english so i can spell it anyway i want.:bart
Yep, me and my boy laughed at this. We was talking about this fight right before the Hatton fight. This was some classic stuff.
Yeah, I remember that, it was good ****. Shows you the talent the guys got, now lets hope he steps up and takes on some top WELTERS.
