There has been talk in the social media that Floyd and Canelo posible for 2017. It's a big money fight, and Floyd will win hands down.
Canelo's gotten a LOT better and this time, he won't be green or drained (assuming he tells Mayweather where to go with a catchweight). Much closer fight now.
Honestly I wouldn't mind that fight. Canelo - Pacquiao and Canelo - GGG don't interest me in the least. If Mayweather wants to come back, have a solid tuneup for the fight, and then challenge Canelo then I would respect that a lot. An older Mayweather beating an improved Canelo would be about the only Legacy improving fight Mayweather could take other than GGG. GGG is just too much of a step up for me to want to see it though. I don't like seeing old champions reach to high and get beat down.
If it was at the full 160 it would be incredible. Floyd would then be champion at SFW, LW, WW, LMW and MW. I don't think anyone has ever been legitimate champion at LW, WW and MW before. Duran came closest.
Floyd would not be a "legitimate champion" at MW by beating Canelo. The only "legitimate champion" at MW is Golovkin.
Canelo is now the face of boxing and the A-side of course. The fight should be fought at Canelo weight and at Cowboys Stadium, Canelo's territory.
Fmj ain't this dumb, nor does his ego have enough juice left to make this fight. Canelo, too big, too strong and too talented atm. Bad bad fight for fmj. He, at 40, can't get fit physically enough to pull off a miracle. Too old, too small and too old
Canelo doesn't have the title, he's not the legit champ at MW, he lost it to prevent a fight with someone who has 3 belts, Golovkin.
would be the biggest payday outside a mcgregor fight...they could sell out azteca stadium and break the ppv record, fight would have to be at 154. even though canelo has improved leaps and bounds the only way i see him winning is by ko.
