For Canelo to even be deserved of a title shot against Mayweather, he should first beat Cotto. Mayweather would win at least 10 rounds against Canelo. The real question is Canelo vs Cotto, who wins?
Call me crazy, but I think Alvarez gives Mayweather more issues than Cotto gave him. I want to see this fight. I think it would be entertaining and would also be a fight which on paper poses the "remedy" which so many have claimed would beat Mayweather: significantly younger, clearly bigger, power puncher, also undefeated. I really do think it's a good fight which carries relevance even amongst Mayweathers' stacked resume.
