Hearns did get stunned alot, but he was able to grab hold and it required a good finisher to finish him off. In Leonard II he got stunned but didnt get KO. Dont think Floyd can finish off Tommy Hearns even if he hurt him.
We won't know how good Floyd is until he fights the best out there. Hatton at 147, Marquez dragged up 2 divisions and a 38 year old Mosley is not good enough when you call yourself the greatest of all time.
Op, so if Floyd beats Hearns, I guess you think he certainly beats Williams? I don't know if even Floyd is as confident in his abilities as you are(against these larger fighters). Whatever, I hope he fights a few more times, soon, before he gets too old.
i respect that but i respect what the other poster said as well...in a fantasy match up u would favor hearns styilistically
Floyd is certainly smart enough not to get in an early slugging match with these tall, big time punchers. He'd move and pick his shots, as long as needed. They will tire eventually. Floyd doesn't tire.
Isn't Ray Leonard the a more apt example of a combination puncher? Hearns' jab was obscene. I don't like Floyd's chances. I am visualizing gigantic flush right hands. I have them in my mind's eye. It is a pleasure to contemplate, in fact.
