I dont believe it if that is the only source, I cant find any other report on this so its probably just an error in the text.

I liked the idea of floyd taking on the best lmw at the lmw limit.

I know catchweights have been frequently utilised throughout history so i'm not saying floyd deserves and overt criticism for it, i'm just saying it saddens me when catchweights are utilised.

If both weigh at 150 i'd see it as a lmw fight but if they do like pac and weigh in at 146 or whatever than it might as well have been a ww fight.

Would it detract from the victory? Slightly. Would it be enough for me to say the winner is not the premiere lmw? No.

 

Maybe ray can write up a piece on boxingnews24 to back it up.

i would not be surprised. floyd wants the 144 catchweight against marquez hidden from media also but GBP won't allow it. if both cotto and floyd weigh too low at around 150 or 151 there is probably a hidden catchweight clause not intended for public consumption.
