Floyd vs Cotto: Cherrypicking 101

Hold the **** up the only reason Cotto is fighting Floyd is becaue he refused to fight Manny at 147 !! Lets fall back on the cherry picker nonsesne!

 

Cotto has no chance in this fight, but it is still the best fight out there for floyd not named maravilla.

Depends on how Cotto performs but unless Floyd beats him as bad as Margs or Pac then it won't do much for him

Floyd isn't going to fight Sergio. If Pac is too small then so is Floyd

 

Get Manny to become a free agent or get rid of Arum. Then we'll see the fight we've been waiting so long for. Until that happens you're gonna hear a lot of things like this:

"I'm not happy because I didn't get what I specifically want."
"He's washed up."
"He's too green."
"He's too feather fisted."
"He's an overhyped 1 dimensional fighter."

 

Other than Pac, the next best fight for Floyd was Martinez.

The Pac fight isn't happening (and there's no point in arguing at length the reason why this fight wasn't/didn't happen).

Martinez is already booked for March 17.

The next best fight for Floyd is Cotto (at 154).

Good post, and good poll. Cotto is a legit opponent. Full stop, say no more.

Now the fight is made, the irrational Pac fans and Floyd "haters" will say otherwise, but how is that different to any other Floyd fight that has been made?

 

Cotto is the only available opponent out there that can generate a huge PPV, a title holder and a damn good fighter to boot. Good choice by FMJ.

 

And Floyd didnt respond because he busted his balls trying to make a fight Pacquiao, and when that fell through it was too late for Martinez....Dont be Stupid , Cotto although on the slide is the best option out there after Pacquiao

 

Outside of Pac and Martinez (who's unavailable), Cotto by far is the best possible opponent Floyd could have selected.

This is really one of the best possible fights that can be made in all of boxing. Can't wait to see it. :bbb
