Lose lose for Floyd. Floyd needs to fight emmanuel for any credit. If he beats Cotto(e), then it's too late/Cotto(e) is shot, if he beats canelo, he's too green. Floyd can't get any love
I present you some of the critics, your fellow *****s: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=210498&page=2 :hi:
Just to play devil's advocate, Baldomir and Ndou were past their best and were coming up from lower weight classes. So was Cotto. Cintron was coming off two unimpressive performances, and Hatton and Gomez weren't that highly regarded to begin with. Not saying that these are bad names to face, or that Canelo didn't impress...But if Miguel's jr. middlweight resume is subject to criticism, than so is Canelo's. (Optionally, they both could be considered viable opponents for PBF to face in the ring...Just for different reasons, is all.)
Agree-Martinez is stylistically, the hardest fight for Floyd and he can do a million plus in buys..probably more..
Who cares about haters giving him credit? They never will anyways, but we all know when Floyd retires for good, it'll take but a few years at max and he'll get his just dues. In the meanwhile, Floyd can get them fights on and do his thing. We all know Manny Duckiao didn't want none of the man, so on to better things for Floyd. He's not contractually stuck with TR opponents, the future is looking pale for Roidiao.
this is true... and why he should have fought Cotto years ago. Even if he beats Cotto, it won't be as impressive as the Pacman (or Margo) beat-down. Cotto deserves that fight, but I have no problem with Canelo.
Floyd will never get credit no matter who he fights. Floyd sets himself up for this; because only fighting once a year or two and demanding so much in the process will do that to you.
Must be a ridiculously poor 154 division, if the number one guy has to be carefully managed there. And I'm a Cotto fan.
