I have no doubt Floyd's gonna fight Sergio in the future. Its too much money and notoriety in this fight and I thing negotiations would go smooth. Ironically, like Floyd did against Sharmba Mitchell years back before he became WW champ, I think he might and should test the waters at MW before going against Sergio. A fight against the tough but limited Dmitry Pirog would be the perfect tune-up. Floyd, by easy UD 9-3!

:rofl no way! Floyd would never fight that guy, where's the money in that fight? Pirog stunk it up his last time out, I just never see this happening or even anything close.

youre living in a fantasyworld man, pirog fights at 160 floyd would never take the risk vs a guy that wouldnt even sell. He can face martinez at 154 if he wants to. yet he never says a word after the second round ko of paul williams.
Avatarbet that floyd doesnt fight martinez or pirog next?

Yeah - Floyd sure does love those challenges. Shame he had to retire so early, but a man like Floyd who lives for risk taking just can't get motivated by fighting has beens and blown up fighters for huge cash prizes.

Floyd should fight Pirog at 160. **** he won't even have to fight Sergio, because it's not like Pac went to 135 and fought Casamayor or Juan Diaz. So he could go there and just fought Pirog and if people say he's ducking Martinez, then they can just turn around and point the finger

The way I see which I could be totally wrong about, is that Floyd is looking for 2 big paydays before he retires for good. Boxers at the most have a shelf life of 20 years, and that rare, most guys that have this end up moving up weight and beating lower opponents late in their career. Floyds 34, I don't care for the guy personally, but I would consider him one of the best ever if he were to do this. Fight and beat Pac, then beat Martinez at 154, those are the biggest money fights out there and if he was to take on that challenge and pull it off, it would be hard for anybody to argue his greatness. Until he at least takes the Pac fight, then nothing else he does is going to matter to me at all. Wanna be the best? Beat the best, the only fight I want to see from him right now is the Pac fight.

think about this if he doesnt have the balls to face a midget former flyweight for a easy win that would get him the biggest paycheck ever and be great for his legacy. Why the **** would he move up to 160 and risk it all vs some unknown russian dude or even martinez which would be way less money. It makes no sense at all.
Its more likely that he will face ortiz/khan/pac 147.

That's the point because the guy is limited, but its a credible fight. If Floyd goes international with this fight like he said he will do for future fights it will sell. Also, no one could criticize Floyd for fighting a bigger, younger fighter with a world title.

If he fought Pirog he'd still be ducking Pacquiao
