Your talking about Mayweather Marquez right ???

This fight was probably the most vehemently attacked fight discussed on this forum in recent years :deal

Mate I'm a huge Floyd fan but that is ****in ridiculous.

Mosley was dry as a stick at 135lbs and was a solid welter against Oscar, with two prior fights at the weight. JMM could probably make super featherweight and looked fat as a pig at just over 140lbs.

    Sorry dude - bull**** comparison.

The fact that JMM weighed 133lbs vs Diaz merely underlined how absurd that fight was.

I guess some of you IGNORED the guys who have went up 2 weight classes or as much as 30 lbs and won The Linear Championships. RJJ, B-HOP, Micheal Spinks, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns. SSM beat a solid top 5 guy in Wiferdo Rivera two weight classes up before he fought DeLa Hoya.

Sugar Ray Robinson almost did it himself until the 120 degree caught up with him.

What weight class did Jones (and I'm a fan) win a linear title? Are you suggesting 175 because that wasn't linear and neither was his WBA title at heavyweight.

Oh man... your obviously completely ignoring history. Shane was documented as having a lot of trouble making the 135 limit and needed a jump up in weight. On the other hand, Marquez could easily make junior lightweight and jumped up to welter.

How in the hell is that the same thing.

Not to mention Marquez was asked to do this at 36 where as Mosley was in his prime at 30 years of age.

TS you have an obvious bias... why even bother posting if your not going to objectively consider the situation

Yeah it's maybe the weirdest comparison I've seen in a long time. Well not as bad as someone comparing Amir Khan to Terry ****in Norris but it is still bad:lol:

JMM was fat and bloated i dont know why the hell the crack ***** is comparing jmm-floyd to roy jones and bhop as bhop and roy jones took on easier fighters while jmm had to fight the p4p king at a weight he's never ever seen before.

he's not ignoring history, he didn't watch boxing back then as he wasn't old enough.

mosley would come into the ring weighing around 150 for fights at lightweight, he didn't have to put on any weight to jump up to welterweight.

Relentless your ignorant as fukk. Wasn't Hopkins 41 and went up 16 lbs after a disputed loss and beat the Linear champ Antonio Tarver for the LHW championship. Also, SRL defeated Marvin Hagler and he was coming off A 3 YEAR LAYOFF. There are nearly half a dozen others. What JMM did was not unusual, he just got defeated by a better fighter PBF, enough said.
