143, thats the most serious compromise. I mean obviously if marquez fights thev winner of pac and hatton it'll be 140.
Floyd holds all the cards.. At the end of the day, JMM can make a decent payday out of Floyd - and if JMM wins, he would increasing his pulling power - tenfold.. Id go as far to say, that what Floyd wants - he will get, because he is the biggest drawcard in boxing, as much as ppl hate to hear that. It would be easy for Floyd to say, fine, no fight, and then it leaves JMM having to fight at least 2 fights - to make the coin he would fighting PBF.
I hope this fight doesn't happen, because PBF will win and then retire again claiming he's beaten everyone in sight...
Since there will be no title at stake here, I think a catchweight of 143lbs will be ok. Floyd might have difficulty making 140lbs anymore while JMM can't go to 147lbs at the bat considering that he didn't even have a fight at 140lbs yet. 143lbs is a give and take for both party.
I Floyd can really make 140, then he and Juan should fight at that weight. If not, Floyd should fight Paul Williams at 147.
Catchweight of 143lbs. Although Floyd's a workaholic in the gym, I'm not convinced at his age he can make 140 comfortably.
I believe they should fight at 140. I think Floyd could still make the weight, if not then fight at 143 if the fight is actually going to come off. What does disturb me is how many welters actually called Floyd out of retirement only for him to say no and now a much smaller fighter has called him out he has shown interest.
catch weight ****.....marquez is the 135 pound champion.......140 would be pushing it for his body, the guy has fought 13 years at 126 pounds...... eitherway....no matter what weight, floyd is 5 times stronger...its a boring mismatch...move on.....paul williams has been calling your name for a while...take him up
If floyd can make 140 then it has to happen there, i think he probably can, if not then the lowest possible weight floyd can comfortably make
