Adding Chris John (the boxer who defeated JMM) on the undercard also IMO doesn't look good for the fight promotion... It's a disrespect for Chris John who defeated JMM, the main event boxer... But anyway JMM is just a tune up for PBF while Chris John is fighting a real fight against Rocky Juarez... .
Disrespect??? more like "Its time to shine" and who knows, Marquez might lose and ask for his rematch with John!!
After JMM loses to PBF, it's time for him to avenge his loss to Chris John and maybe with a purse of $50,000 this time around instead of $30,000... .
Which of course has nothing to do with how competitive the fight will be. It isn't about fight night weight it is about where they have been all their career. Fight night weight doesn't tell the story. DLH weight less than Pacquiao but was drained, he weighed 160 vs Sturm and was fat and sluggish. Just because their weights are similar means next to nothing. Cotto could probably easily weight 160 and take a fight with Abraham but that doesn't have anything to do with how competitive or fair the matchup is since Cotto is really a welter and has no business at middle. It is simple.. JMM has no business fighting at 147 but is taking his chance anyway because likely he doesn't have many better options (money-wise). He's taking the risk but lets not kid ourselves.. it is all rationalization of a mismatch.
I guess you didnt watch the fight !!! LOL ... Seriously you gotta watch it and then come here again and post that john won that fight... Everybody knows that jmm won that fight.. he got robbed, i am fan of pac as well but seriously boxrec isnt everything go watch it please and if you did watch it and you agree that John Won the fight you just are clueless about what boxing is but i think you havent watched it, please do it and tell me who you think won that fight...
No No. JMM and Floyd will weigh nearly the same if not JMM weighing more on fight night. Not what they will weigh in at. Floyd is already weighing 146ish. Like 2lbs higher than what Pac weighed against JMM. JMM said he was bulking. So etc. Im starting to think this fight isn't going to be a tune up.
I have a video of the fight... It's another close fight that JMM lost... I wonder why JMM lost all this close fights? Maybe the judges does not like JMM's boring counterpunching style then after losing officially, JMM starts crying again and again... Chris John is a boxer/mover and potshoting JMM from time to time... JMM hates this style of boxing since he can't counterpunch effectively... Now guess who is the best boxer/mover in the business? I'll give you a clue, he's the one JMM is fighting next... .
Even if you see it as less of a tune up, it is still a tune up fight... PBF-JMM is a mismatch, joke, irrelevant, tune up fight... and what's worst is promoted/portrayed as a megafight... Now we start agreeing on some issues about this fight... .
It doesnt matter anymore you just shoot yourself you just said it you really think jmm lost that fight lol !!! so like i said if you would think so YOU ARE CLUELESS ABOUT BOXING GO AND PLAY SOME FIGHT NIGHT 4 AND HAVE SOME FUN :toney
That's exactly what I was saying that what fighters weigh on fight night will have nothing to do with how competitive a fight will be. Any fighter can bulk up or drain down to match an opponent but that doesn't have anything do with if they will be able to perform at that weight. Seeing as JMM has never fought above 135 it remains to be seen how he'll adjust. There is nothing to indict at this moment that he'll be as good at higher weights. However, we have two fights at 135 where he struggled and seemed to not have his legs. Fight night weight is not a good barometer to how competitive a fight will be is basically all I'm saying.
