I've heard Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions are offering FREE tickets to the fight thru promo contests... Online ticket sellers are also starting to offer Floyd-JMM tickets at bargain discounted prices...

Beer promo and hotel package deals are also available...

Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions are desperate in trying to sell this slow selling Floyd-JMM tuneup, mismatch fight...

    What's next? Buy 1 take 1 anyone? ...

This is good news to boxing fans...;) Fans are the winners here...

Mayweather obviously has stacked the deck in his favor. Marquez age and wear definitely seem to go against him but I'm hoping for the best Marquez to step in the ring that night and I hope it happens. Anyone with any boxing sense could see Marquez struggle with both Casa and Diaz at lightweight in his last two outings. His footwork has slowed and he is eating alot more leather which is exactly why a precision counter puncher like Mayweather wanted this fight. At an even higher weight which should slow Marquez even more.
However Marquez is one of the smartest fighters around and that could prove alot. This fight is gonna depend on how old Marquez is and if his body can hold up. I am excited for this fight and expecting a primed and ready Marquez to show. Floyd has also slowed tremendously in the last couple years not to mention he's been inactive. Really take a look at Floyds last five fights and you can see he hasn't been pushed and faced no real threats. The best Marquez is a serious threat no matter weight. An old Marquez will serve as batting practice.

Floyd stated he was weighing 146/147 already.

JMM weighed 141/144 in his last fight.

If he bulks he could easily outweight him.

JMM came up to lw after the age of 30, and people say he struggled yet he stopped both Casa and Diaz. He was fighting bigger men, and just like all little gys, at times you will struggle with bigger men. The end result is all we care about. JMM didn't have to say Floyd's name. He couldn't get Pac to fight him because PAc accused JMM of fighting for money, and not honor which was comical to read. JMM wanted a crack at Floyd, and got his wish.

It's not just the fact he struggled with top guys at lightweight it's what happened. If it was very tactical thinking fights then there is a point. But Marquez was getting tagged alot. Mayweather is probably the most precise accurate puncher today. Marquez was able to think on the blink and adjust this shows his ring smarts and ability. Regardless I'm expecting a better Marquez hopefully something like the one who battled Pac in the rematch that could be classic. He's had plenty of time to rest his body and hopefully put on muscle the right way and maintain his movement and flexibility.

Money is an idiot. What fans are going to be too confident buying tickets/hotel/airfare to a fight that might not happen because theyre going to pay JMM to step aside.

He does and Diaz has the style to really come at anyone. So it could be a little deceiving. But the Casa fight also raised questions. After his fights with Santa Cruz(don't know how he got that decision) and a hard earned win against Katsidis. He gave Marquez a very serious run.

This is blunder #5 in the very first post of this thread:

BLUNDER #5. Floyd is willing to pay step aside money to JMM in order to fight somebody else... This only shows that their fight is really an irrelevant joke fight which can be easily postponed and/or canceled... It's also a big disrespect to JMM...

If I'm not mistaken, you've posted this lying **** about JMM weighing 141/144 lbs in his last fight with Diaz.

    ......stop with the lying please.

For the record, JMM officially weighed in at just under 135 lbs, and was at 140 lbs when he stepped in the ring against Diaz..........

140 is not 144.........just 4 lbs can be huge for a fighter.

Somebody mentioned that Mayweather was at 150 lbs for Hatton......thats 10 lbs more than what JMM has ever stepped into a ring at.
