Yeah, a true P4P fighter would challenge a guy 2 divisions down instead of fighting the best fighters of his own division.:patsch
Shame on Pac for challenging Cotto isntead of smaller guys lol

Forget about it. JMM is not on Pac's radar, moreso if Marquez beats Mayweather.

I look for Marquez to fight Cotto if he beats Pac, or fight Mosley if he has'nt suffered a loss by then.

DLH did that all the time, and it only got him accolades from the media.
What Mayweather is doing is not unprecedented.

Poor JMM... Floyd is up to slaughter him just to show to PAC how to murder the Mexican numero uno... But don't worry, I think Floyd will just potshots JMM towards a boring UD victory...;)

JMM might have won more rounds against PAC but those rounds were very close... Also JMM was not able to avoid being knocked down by PAC... IMO, if JMM can avoid being KD'ed, he will finally win a PAC fight...

It's pathetic if Floyd thinks he's DelaHoya or compare himself to DelaHoya... Sorry but Floyd is no PPV king like Hoya... Floyd is no boxing's cash cow...

Correction!, shame on Cotto for fighting someone smaller, right? :yep

Shame on DLH too for ditching Margarito and fighting Pacquiao, if he did we would have been discussing how great the boxing situation is with Margarito suspended for loading his gloves.

We've been saying a lot of "Real welterweight" nonsense lately, who are those real welterweights exactly?, you guys make it sound like there's a fabulous four out there that Mayweather is turning down. Please mention them. The only one you could mention is Mosley and Mosley has been showing far more interest in trying to make a Pac fight than Mayweather, he was also called out on a possible fight after his win over Margarito and turned it down. Who else is there?, Clottey?, Berto? or maybe Urango to move up again?

Aside from Hoya totally ignoring Margarito, I hope fans are aware that Pacquiao is not the original choice as opponent for DelaHoya... Hoya was looking for a Floyd rematch, Floyd didn't accept it for he's retired already... Hoya offered the fight to Hatton but Hatton more interested in fighting Paulie Malignaggi... Pacquiao is just the 3rd choice for Hoya's planned megafight...

:huhOk first of all divac was bashing Pac by saying that a real P4P#1 fighter would call out a fighter from 2 divisions down, and I still don't get that.

But yeah shame on Cotto and Oscar for fighting the smaller Pacquiao, but that's not the point is it?

All I'm saying how can you not call pacquiao a real P4P#1 fighter when he's fighting guys bigger than him, and ****ing call Floyd
a real P4P when he's fighting ****ing Marquez which has looked VERY beatable in his 2 fights @ 135.

Keep justifying Floyd's cherrypicking, you know damn well that he could have called out Cotto, Mosley or any other welter out there.

This is not a tune up fight by any means. Marquez is one of the best boxers in the world and 145 should not hamper him.
I think that even with the lay off Mayweather is better than Marquez.
Mayweather tends to get off to a slow start and I expect Marquez to take the early rounds. Some where around rounds 3-5 Mayweather will pick up the pace. By round 8 Mayweather will be in control of the fight. I expect Mayweather to win by t/ko 8-12.
The result will be the case of Mayweather being the better boxer. Prople will start to under rate Marquez. You shouldn't he is a very good boxer and would beat if not give anyone a tough fight from 135-147.
    That is my honest opinion.

    Thanks for your honest opinion...

I considered this a tuneup fight for Floyd since this is his first fight after almost 2 years in retirement... A tuneup fight to see how much rust Floyd got... A tuneup fight to gauge where Floyd's skills are...

I don't think is that bad of a fight. Marquez is number 2 pound for pound which if floyd beats more impressively well help him in negotation with the biggest fight in boxing with Pac. So this fight serves a purpose. Secondly JMM is a better fighter overall than cotto, clottey and maybe even shane. The downside of this fight is that JMM is slightly smaller than floyd which is will mean that the chance of an upset will be very low bc you have to be able to hurt floyd to win.
