Every time I see this excuse given by a *******, you just want to smack the shite out of them for being so damn stupid in thought lol...
Please. He was shaking off the rust, he wanted to go 12 rounds. He could've taken Marquez out anytime he wanted. Come on, get a clue.
morales fought a green pac in their first fight. look what happened to the 2nd fight. imagine what pac can do to marquez right now. marquez did time pac in their 2 encounters but pac at that time has not fully developed the power in his right hand. the right hand that dropped cotto will also drop marquez.
I disagree. They weren't able to time him throughout the fight. They did at times, have success timing him, but, the real reason they were successful is that they took punches to give punches back. The way to beat Pac is to outfight him.
Get a clue? Watch the fight, Floyd goes after him until round 9 or so. Then he coasts. Floyd ain't KO-ing Pac. He may beat him, (if he ever decides to fight Pac) but he ain't KO-ing Pac.
^That's just nonsense. More like Floyd was unsure of himself so he came in heavy AND didn't take any risk at all. Doesn't that make more sense than wanting to go 12 rounds on purpose? Let's not be so bias here. I am routing for Pac, but I just see Floyd winning in a decision. ^^^LOOOOOOK A UNBIASED OPINION^^^ And some of you guys need to get over the Floyd KO'ing Pac nonsense. Floyd has KO'd only one person in his last 6 fights. And Hatton is a wide open target. Pac isn't no where near as open or as slow as Hatton is and it took 9 rounds for Floyd to catch him. Not to mention Pac has one of the better chins out there. Floyd "TKO in 6".... LOL CHILD PLEASE.
That worked well for Cotto didn't it? This kid has made a career off beating up "Mexican style" fighters.
No, it didn't work well for Cotto, but, I have a feeling it may work better for Margarito. Cotto isn't the clean, accurate combination puncher that Morales and Marquez were/are, either.
so floyd being slick will win him against pac? and floyd being slick is a sucker for lefties. his shoulder roll will never be used else pac will knock him out with a straight left!
A green PAc lol... You do know who Pac fought before he fought EM the first time right lol... Green PAc lol... GTFOOH with that...
I wouldn't try to outfight him. Marquez ended up "losing" the second fight, because he decided to be a Mexican hero by trading. emmanuel was able to catch him and score the knockdown for victory. I like the idea of controlling him with the jab from the outside, being a "gayRUNNER", countering, and fighting on the inside. Morales, Marquez, and Cotto were able to control him with the jab, smother him in the pocket, counter, and Cotto was able to frustrate him with some backfoot boxing.
Going to war with Pac is too risky. Floyd knows this. Guaranteed his game plan is to keep distance, either beating Pac to the punch with his quick straight right, or waiting to counter him when he comes in then move out before any sort of exchange occurs, find a better spot, rinse/repeat.
Unsure of himself, and came in heavy lol...!!!??? Are you serious? Didn't take a risk? JMM has never been ko'd so why risk injuring his hands... Floyd tried to take JMM out and it didn't happen.
Actually, Floyd's shoulder roll was already deflecting Zab Judah's left hand in the 5th round of their fight. He was still using that shoulder roll all night against southpaws DeMarcus Corley and Sharmba Mitchell.
