Hoya fight is the only thing we can judge them on. It's a shame that all of Manny's improvement was over shadowed by his less then stellar performance. If Floyd was more offence oriented, he would have done the same thing to Hoya. If Manny was fighting Floyd version of Hoya, only difference would be Hoya getting KOed in the 10 or 11. Only thing making it hard for exports to predict was the knowledge of Manny can hurt Hoya. If expert know want we know know, they would have judge the fight a little better. Hoya was the same flat footed guy with a litter more in the tank. Only reason it was close for Floyd, was Floyd let him in the fight. To Floyd's credit he didn't have the luxury of seeing Hoya's weaknesses before hand. With that being said I give Floyd a good edge for the fight Ud.
Pac made Floyd look average by demolishing Hoya. Roach said that in the Floyd fight, Oscar was already shot and couldn't pull the trigger. However sometimes looks can be deceiving. I would give the edge to Pac. At 147, its a tough call. If Pac makes Floyd come back down to 140 i don't think Floyd has much of a shot. If Pac fights Floyd from the Zab Judah fight, then i would give the edge to Floyd.
Floyd should fight a legit contender as a tuneup. As things are now, if Pac beats Floyd then people will say Floyd was shot / inactive / weight drained / rusty.
So Pacquiao going life and death with Marquez, another counter puncher means nothing to you? Your only analysis is a Oscar Floyd fought nearly 2 years ago? Slap yourself.
Manny had the fight of his life with Marquez(IMO he lost both), PBF does EVERYTHING better than Marquez. That means ALOT!
oscar was alot better then at 154 then at 147, you have to atleast know that.35 had not been at that weight in yrs.thats the biggest difference in that fight. pbf at 140 or 147 will produce the same thing and thats perfection.no such thing as a better weight class for pbf when he is unbeaten.
i've noticed from a few of your posts now that you jump to rediculous conclusions really fast. I never said Pac vs Marquez means nothing to me.
It should mean more to you then comparing Floyd vs a past it 154lb Oscar to Pacquiao vs a shot weight drained Oscar. Tell me, what does Marquez do better then Mayweather?
All i said was that Pacquiao made Floyd look bad. I even specified that looks can be deceiving, because I do not believe that this fight should be the sole basis for the outcome of Pac vs Floyd. However from that you somehow understood that Pac vs Marquez means nothing to me. wtf? Thats some ****ed up logic. Maybe you'd be more suited to have a discussion with my little sister. Marquez is better than Floyd at catching punches with his gloves. And he is better at throwing combinations. Floyd has never fought anyone on the level of a Marquez. And btw Oscar was shot for the Floyd fight too, which was only last year... He was also more inactive prior to his fight against Floyd, and probably ballooned in weight after Mayorga and had to shed a shitload of weight to make the 154lb limit.
He didn't make Floyd look bad, cause they fought 2 different Oscars. Thats like saying Hatton made Floyd look bad cause he KO'd Castillo & Floyd barely got past Castillo.
I think Manny stands a better chance against Floyd at 147 than he does at 140, please either way Floyd still wins the difference is how, at 147 Floyds speed and work rate wont be as high which will give manny some spots to look good until he gets picked apart late and stopped. at 140 Floyd would end up in Jail for Murder, he would have speed work rate and Manny will feel the power most defently, I dont see Manny beating Floyd at any weight class honestly, when you look at how Morales and Marquez was able to hold their own, you suddenly realize that a fight with Floyd would just not be right for Manny Pacquiao.
I don't think Pac can beat Mayweather. Mayweather defense will be the best that Manny has ever seen. He will also be just as fast as him. Mayweather will probably just pot shot and move and win the rounds. So I can't really see Manny beating Mayweather at 140 or 147.
