Not serious about this dude. I am one of the LEAST serious guys on this board. I come here for fun, even just to flame the floyd fanboys.

Ortiz is coming off a tremendous battle with Andre Berto. He is a young, strong fighter that will take the fight to Mayweather. Aside from Pacquiao this is the best fight he could take at welterweight.

I think its a tough fight for Floyd. He'll come in bigger, and all of the Mexican greats will be offering him advice. Can't wait.

Can you explain what's so tough about it? I'll explain WHY i don't see this as a tough fight.

    1. Ortiz has no jab. You need one to beat Floyd. If you don't have one, you need to be special. Ortiz isn't.

    2. Ortiz's defense. Not great at all. Been dropped how many times in his short career? 6? 7? And he'll be fighting a guy who's a very accurate puncher. Doesn't bode well.

    3. Ortiz is young and inexperienced. He quit against Maidana, citing not "Being young and Wanting to get beat up" or something. Not verbatim, but I'm sure you've heard that already. Terrible thing to say. But glad he's done some to erase that somewhat. His win over Berto said more about Berto IMHO. Berto's been lambasted by almost all for his being protected on HBO with soft touch defenses. THAT is who Ortiz beat to supposedly make him legitimate. And for him being a "Young, hungry lion" as SO MANY are now touting hm as:roll:. Being young and hungry doesn't necessarily mean anything at this point. Is he hungry? Sure. But STILL hella inexperienced. "Young and hungry" are just selling slogans that sound good.

    4. OK...at least Ortiz is seen as a hard hitter. Seen as some strong and powerful guy. Yeah, so was Shane till Floyd manhandled him. Floyd isn't he "Small WW" from 6 years ago. He's a legit WW. His size over Shane made that pretty obvious.

So...with that said, what will Ortiz bring to the fight that leaves you to believe it'll be tough for Floyd? Floyd's layoff? :huh

I might've answered you, but right now you need time to yourself. I'll look in on you from time to time to see if you can produce more posts like this on a consistent basis. :good

I think he believes his opinion is fact, and that other posters opinions ARE facts. Until he can accept and rationalize what is fact and opinion, leave him be for now until he straightens himself out. Anger management is a must if you expect me to answer your post.

It's going to take more than Valium to get Void into a ring with Pac!

Just whom would you suggest PBF fight? Must he fight Manny or no one? No one seems to be answering that.

I guess he could fight Martinez or Williams after a long layoff if that would make everyone happy. Or maybe Andre Ward. I don't like PBF at all but this is a perfectly acceptable fight for him if he's not fighting Manny. Any welterweight alternatives that would make the critics happy?
