You need to realize that these reports (even Forbes) do not have exact figures of how much an individual athlete earns from a fight. It's all conjecture, and generally these estimates are a slight exaggeration to actual numbers. So unless you're from inside the camp and have full access to his financial accounts, you won't truely be knowing how much he's making
The subject of this thread and the discussion is revolving around PPV numbers and purse split. Don't get so sensitive, Sally. I want to see the fight more than anyone and could care less about the details as long as they make the fight. Your "50/50 or the fight isn't happening" is unrealistic and I am just explaining why. Doesn't mean that it affects me or that I care.
We are on a boxing forum discussing PPV numbers and purse splits dumb dumb. When *******s like yourself are wrong or losing the argument, this is the textbook comeback "are you getting paid?". Very lame and you're showing a severe lack of intelligence. Don't reply to my posts anymore.
Very true. We do know the guarantees for each fighter though as they are formally published a few days before the fight. Pac was guaranteed 8 million for Clottey and May was guaranteed 22.5 for Mosley. I'm the first to admit that Pac has a shitty deal with Arum and deserves more than he gets, especially when comparing to what Mayweather (supposedly) makes.
LMAO at *****s trying to prove that they don't want to see Floyd fight Pacman because they know Pac will beat up Floyd. This content is protected *****s in the house!!!!
Oh, well that changes everything! It's like when people start a post "I'm a big Pac/Floyd fan but..." and go on to denigrate their whole career.
Yeah there's no doubt that Floyd's not only the better boxer, but the better businessman out of the two as well. But trying to determine a fair purse plit on US PPV figures alone, is just way too black and white. Other factors must be taken in to consideration, such as nationality, popularity, world wide appeal, past achievements etc. When all is observed, you'll find it difficult to even wedge a piece of paper in between them. They're that close and equal in what they bring to the table.
**** yeah. I'm a pac fan and it pissed me off when Pac declined to just take the test back in december. Maybe there really was a reason why he didn't want to take the test back then. Who ****ing knows but Pac already agreed on the original 14 day that Floyd demanded whiched caused the fight to get canceled in the first place. Now the purse split is causing the fight not to happen and guess who's trying to get it canceled.
