Floyd vs Prime Oscar...i dont get it

I don't see Floyd having that hard a time with Margarito. Margarito may be big, but he's not really bigger than Oscar, and Oscar didn't seem that much strnger than Floyd. There was a diference obviously, but he wasn't that much stronger. Also, Floyd isn't just faster than Margarito. Margarito is pretty slow to begin with! I just don't see what Margarito would be able to do against Floyd.

It depends.

At 154, the Oscar that stopped Vargas would probably stop Floyd too. Prime Floyd had enough trouble with an old 154 Oscar who had four fights in the previous four years.

At 147, prime for prime, this is a pick'em fight, with a slight edge to Floyd.

Below welter, Floyd wins.

That just means he went the distance in his losses, it doesn't mean SHane was not a good boxer. You're trying to put two things together that don't belong. Shane is an excellent boxer. You think because Winky and Vern had styles to completey outbox Shane, anyone's who's a good or better "boxer" would just do the same? Was Shane suddenly a "good boxer" when he won? :huh

It's posts like this that really show how little the new floyd fans know. :-(

 

How about non-stop attacking for one? Floyd seems most bothered when guys ar on the ofensive, and Margarito would be on the offence from beginning to end. And in reality, it doesn't matter how slow the other guys is or fast you guys think Floyd is, he WILL get hit.

Tough competitive close fight for both, that's the way I see it. Who wins?, either one, can't pick one.

 

Don't forget, a horribly past his prime and coked up Whitaker should have won against a prime De La Hoya.
PBF is just as good defensively as Sweet Pea but his offence is vastly superior. I think PBF would have beaten De la Hoya handidly.

 

Man. Vernon Forrest has so much more skill than Margo at welter it is not even a fair compairison.

He would Jab (fast and accurate) Floyd to death and beat him by a UD.

I think that with Forrest being so big and strong with that fast accurate Jab that would take away alot of Floyds offence. Forrest also hits pretty hard and I think he would keep Mayweather at bay to win a desicson.

 

This is a simple question, with a simple answer. Oscar would win. He proved that last time they fought.
