Floyd vs Shane is making Pac vs Clottey look boring...

I agree that Pac didnt have any options, he kinda had to take this fight if he was still going to fight at welter BUT that doesnt mean this is a great fight. Just cause he lost doesnt make him not good, for me its the fact that he doesnt have a good win to back up the statement of him being a good fighter. A win over Zab isnt anything great. Time will tell if he is good but he is going to lose again march 13th and add another notable loss to his record

 

U guys are totally right. He beat zab by a cut, when the fight was almost even on the cards, what a ****in superstar.

 

ESB is overflowing with those kind of dumb****.....a lot are like 15 minutes experts after googling the information.

 

Pac always comes into a fight looking to dish out the pain. If Clottey doesn't come into this fight just looking to survive and not get hurt, this will be action packed.

Clottey is not a top 5 WW. Pac, Floyd, Mosley, Berto, Cotto, and Margarito are all better and you could make an argument for Cintron being better than him. He's top 10 nothing more. Let's quit overrating him. Your right he's a good solid fighter but no more.

Bob Arum is doing his job hyping it up as a super fight but the reality is there's only one super fight this year currently scheduled and that's Mayweather/Mosley!

 

Cintron isn't even a WW anymore. Margarito and Cotto both coming off knockout losses. Berto hasn't fought anyone better than Collazo and he struggled in that one.

I'd have Clottey at #4 behind Pac, Mosley and PBF. You can make a weak case for Cotto, Berto and Margo which puts Clottey at #7 which is still a good fight.

 

Cintron has said recently that he still would fight @ 147 given a good opponent. By the way I said you could make the argument for him being a WW than Clottey. Margarito and Cotto both are coming off knockout losses but that doesn't change the fact that both beat Clottey. Clottey is also coming off a loss to Cotto. I give Berto benefit of the doubt.

We agree that he's a good fighter but disagree to his ranking. I agree with you it's a GOOD fight but some people on this board are overrating how good Clottey and this fight really is. It's a keep busy for Pac nothing more. He would have been better off fighting Tim Bradley who is the man right now @ 140.

 

Bradley might be the man at 140 but there is more talent at 147 than at 140. Clottey would tear Bradley a new ******* man I'd bet the house on a Clottey W if that fight comes off.

I'd rather see Pac vs Bradley too because at least we see the top 2 guys in the divisoins and also who are at their best weights fighting each other but for real Clottey is a harder challenge than Bradley.

 

True, but the original post was about boring vs entertaining so that has relevenance here. But yes, Mayweather is a boxing master, however anyone who can't see the boxing skills Clottey possess is just as idiotic.

You can tell who the idiots are on here, they are the ones calling everyone else idiots based on subjective conjecture. Guess what gaiz, Clottey is no joke. He was winning the Margarito fight until he broke BOTH of his hands on Margs' hard ass head. The fight with Zab ended on a cut caused by a punch, its in the video (boxing's "history books" aren't always the word of Christ, see Casamayor vs. Santa Cruz, Shumenov vs Campillo as recent examples). Clottey also did very well against Cotto and A LOT of fans and media called the fight for Clottey in that one. In my eyes, Joshua is clearly in the top 5 welterweights based on those performances.

Yeah, Clottey is the underdog fosho.. he prolly won't be near fast enough to catch Pacman... But I wouldn't go around calling him a punching bag and then using words like "idiot" and "dip****" for people who disagree. All the boxing bundits had Buster Douglas at 20-1 odds versus Tyson didn't they... And furthermore, Clottey has just about as many "notable wins" vs. WELTERWEIGHTS as Mayweather.. The difference is, he's actually fought welterweights rated somewhere near the top 10, unlike Floyd. Hows that for subjective.

 

clottey v pacman fight of the year? lol. I swear since the fight got made pacman fans have built clottry up into this amazing fighter even though his never beat anyone.

Clottey is a solid fighter and no walk in the park but thats where it ends.
