I was never really impressed by Clottey and I think he is an okay fighter. But no matter what my opinion is, he is indeed one of the top 5 Welterweights in the division. I think pac fans feel this fight might be interesting because of the size difference (especially head size). And Clottey can definitely put punches together. I agree with thatGuy he doesnt have any real notable wins, but he is not a punching bag at all. Don't be fooled by his record he can hold his own.

  2. An appropriate edit to a previously weak post.

Sure there's more talent @ 147 but the fact is Bradley is a better boxer than Clottey and it's not even close! I would take Bradley because Clottey would have a hard time dealing with Bradley speed and boxing ability.

The only challenge Clottey provides Pacquiao is his size. Bradley would Pac's 140 version of JMM. He will counter Pac all night long. The recipe is out there on Pac. You make him think and try to adjust he is very beatable.

Go check out Bradley last few fights, you might be surprised how good he really is. Good boxing debate though. Look forward to more.:good

  4. I'm gonna say it again, it needs to be said.

You can tell who the idiots are on here, they are the ones calling everyone else idiots based on subjective conjecture. Guess what gaiz, Clottey is no joke. He was winning the Margarito fight until he broke BOTH of his hands on Margs' hard ass head. The fight with Zab ended on a cut caused by a punch, its in the video (boxing's "history books" aren't always the word of Christ, see Casamayor vs. Santa Cruz, Shumenov vs Campillo as recent examples). Clottey also did very well against Cotto and A LOT of fans and media called the fight for Clottey in that one. In my eyes, Joshua is clearly in the top 5 welterweights based on those performances.

Yeah, Clottey is the underdog fosho.. he prolly won't be near fast enough to catch Pacman... But I wouldn't go around calling him a punching bag and then using words like "idiot" and "dip****" for people who disagree. All the boxing bundits had Buster Douglas at 20-1 odds versus Tyson didn't they... Aside from obvious routes and decisive KOs, boxing is completely subjective, so you can shove your namecalling right up yer ass, kthxbye.

the anticipation is clearly much better because shane and floyd are both supertars whereas we only have pac as the clear superstar in the other fight. but in the actual fight, pac-clottey could have the better fireworks in the end. besides floyd doesn't want fighting away from his homecourt.

He still got the support of the pinoy gang but not all of American is on his bandwagon like they were previous. He should of took the damn test.. god damn he has some stupid ass people in his camp.

Floyd was the one who denied having the fight take place in Dallas when they presented that as an option. Exactly! The fights in boxing always take place in LV. "ON TO THE NEXT ONE!" Especially considering a fight of this magnitude! Boxing doesn't need the same old same....but a new venue to push and propel the sport to the main stream again.

I've seen every fight of Bradley since the Witter fight and I even went to the Bradley vs Holt fight.

I like Bradley, he can be explosive and he is always in great shape. But I don't think he is as good as clottey and although Desert Storm is really well rounded he doesn't excel at anything while Clottey has excellent defense and really beautiful combinations. + obviously like you said Clottey is huge compared to Bradley.

Floyd vs. Mosley is most definitely the more exciting fight.
