here i was thinking Locche was a great defensive fighter too.

 

This is very close Im not sure why people are considering offense when comparing the best defense? The question wasnt who was the better boxer or fighter, which would warrant considering offense. Plus the PBF hate is still high in this thread! For anyone to say it is a land slide for either guy, I think theyre lying to themselves!

Anyway for me I say Sweet Pea by a hair line, I think he fought great competition and he didnt block as much but had a bigger emphasis on his opponent hitting thin air, which if you have ever boxed you will know is very demoralising and painful.

Mayweather tends to block and parry alot and while he does make his opponents miss I think Peas opponents tended to get tired faster and descouraged faster too.

How can you diss Floyd making Marquez(the best combination puncher and one of the most accurate punchers out now) When was the last time you seen Marquez miss damn near all his shots..lol

 

Sweet Pea I think was the better defensive fighter having beaten the better fighters (Chavez, Nelson). Floyd I think was the better counterpuncher, he more catches and rolls with the punches than actually making them miss completely like Pea did and he makes them pay in return. Sweet Pea he could stand right in front of you and make you miss, miss, and miss again. I think he was more of an athletic fighter and not as cerebral as Floyd. Pea also had a very underrated left hand that dropped Oscar and Uncle Roger. If Zab was a nightmare for Floyd, Sweet Pea would of been the apocalypse for Floyd. Pea was fearless and took on anyone even when he was past his prime he took on a prime Trinidad and Oscar! A draw would of been fine for me in the Whitaker-Delahoya fight, but it could of gone either ways. Floyd just squeaked by an old, slower Delahoya.

 

Not to mention Diego Corrales and Ricky Hatton were both undefeated fighters before Floyd stopped both of them. Jesus Chavez as well. ****ing ******* gump. :rofl

 

So who gives a ****? Everyone knows those guys were face first punchers, Castillo ko'd Chico and Pac ko'd Hatton. Being undefeated don't mean **** you dickhead. And don't even bring Marquez in you fool. Yea he was a badass, but at 126, not 147 or even 145 and you still think Floyd should get points for that? How can you defend that ****? How really can you defend that ****? Floyd does to Martinez what he did to Marquez I'll join the rest of you hobo ***** clowns.

By the way have u seen sweat pea's KO percentage? Has to be lowest amongst all time greats, makes paulie look like Tyson , but I still oved him so get over yourself, if it's all about KO's move on to UFC
