Interesting perspective vs Greats by Claude Abrhams http://setantasports.com/en/Sport/News/Other-sports/2008/04/30/Boxing-Mayweather-vs-the-greats/?facets/sport-space/great-britain-locale/boxing/
Good video; they should have done that from the studio, because with the background noise it was hard to make them out. It think Claude was afraid he was gonna get decked a few times during that clip; Spencer was getting really excited. Two guys who really know their ****, and who love the sport.
Here's my picks for the fights mentioned in the video. Mayweather vs: Pernell Whitaker - Whitaker Wide UD Henry Armstrong - Mayweather UD (at 130) Roberto Duran - Duran Late TKO Aaron Pryor - Pryor Mid round TKO Wilfred Benitez - Benitez UD Tommy Hearns - Hearns KO5 Sugar Ray Leonard - Leonard Wide UD Donald Curry - Curry Late TKO I'm not bashing Mayweather, i just feel these fighters would beat him.
I think Mayweather versus Duran is interesting. I feel Mayweather could outpoint him. Hearns could just physically overwhelm Floyd but then again I could see PBF getting inside and exploiting Hearns' fragile pysche. Leonard would probably be too much for Mayweather.
IMO Floyd beats all those guys with the most trouble coming from Pernell Whitaker. Floyd wouldn't get gettting knocked out by any of those guys either ... if you look deeper into those guys did good against who they faced, but no guy they've faced were the type of fighter PBF is. Currry's reign as WW champion ended in dramatic fashion and he was overwhelmed by the british guy. Ray Leonard & Hearns were very hittable Wifredo Benitez had trouble w/ fast, slick boxers Pryor was very hittable and had issues and never had fought a defensive minded fighter ... Duran was a solid pressure fighter w/ power and had boxing skill, but PBF with his defense wouldve carried him to a decision victory.
