Well I a huge Floyd and Winky Wright fan. But when this fantasy match-up was not several months ago I was saying it was a pickem fight ( most had Winky winning). After the Cotto fight I have to favor Floyd now because Winky even though a great boxer has no power to keep Floyd off him when Floyd goes in on him. Also, Winky has that high guard like Cotto and that plays into Floyd hands again. Floyd is a defensive genius as well. Those factors alone is why I'm favoring Floyd in this particular match-up.

I am also huge fan of Floyd Mayweather and Winky Wright. I think Floyd counter punch will be the difference in the fight. 8-4 Mayweather

Wright would stun Floyd with the jab and land the big left hand to finish Floyd off in four rounds

Winky works Floyd like he did vs Taylor. Floyd has nothing to keep Winky off him

it'll be a tough fight. Floyd as seen in his last fight has to make some serious offense adjustments when the opponent has sturdy and tight high guard.

the answer for Cotto(e) was to loop the right and turn it into a right hook. It would be harder to do this with Ronald since he's a southpaw. Floyd's right hook must travel farther to land on a southpaw since their left side is in the rear unlike an orthy who keeps the left forward.

Floyd has an incredible ring IQ, so who knows what kind of solution he would come up with

Winky was effective in that fight against Taylor because Taylor has zero defense and he never tuck his chin down in fights making him vulnerable.
Floyd doesn't have any of those problems. Pressure is a good strategy but with Mayweather's Defense I doubt anything effect punches will land.

I do have to think about this one more, but I'd favor Floyd.

Based on skillset Floyd looks to be the winner, but don't forget to take into account that Winky is a big jr. middleweight with a very tricky and high caliber jab. Floyd has trouble with Cotto's jab. Winky's is much better.

I believe the fight will have the same flow as DLH-May, however, Winky won't run out of gas in the later rounds.

I think Winky will edge him but it is very, very close.

Floyd. Wright is incredibly one street as far as his gameplan goes.

Still can't believe Winky turned down Floyd AND Oscar fights though

They don't have to. He could win if he outworks him. He's the bigger stronger fighter and one of the better 154'lbers there was. Floyd is pretty much unproven at the weight having only fought Cotto and Oscar. A prime Winky beats those 2 at 154 a lot easier than Floyd did

I agree that Winky size could cause problems for Floyd since he is a natural 154 pounder but I have to put my money on Mayweather to take the decision.
