Hatton didn't even come close to 40 million. Hatton's base was $6 million for that fight, and he ended up getting a percentage of the PPV. Mayweather made more money than Hatton in that fight.

In the Oscar vs Floyd Match, after the PPV & Gate, Oscar made about $58 Million, and Floyd actually brought in around $35 million. Floyd should have been very happy to get that, as it was more than triple anything else that he has ever made, and Oscar is by far the one putting the asses in the seats. For Floyd to think that he should make more than Oscar in the rematch is just absurd. Oscar can make crazy money fighting anyone that he wants to. Let alone, the fact that Oscar put on that great promotion, the 24/7 show, ect... Floyd should be calling and thanking Oscar every day.

 

Just like when Winky Wright calls Oscar out for over a year... Oscar calls his bluff and offers Winky the biggest payday of his career.... and Winky turned it down. Yet... people still pretended like Oscar was ducking Winky.

 

Fear had nothing to do with it.

Like Bernard (with Calzaghe in 2002), Floyd is skipping the fight due to GREED.

 

And Winky is yet to make that kind of money to date.
