Fail point. Void can sign to fight Paul Williams to outdo a pac/cotto 2. The P4P King vs a 6 ft 1 giant is much moar marketable than the 2nd best fighter in the world rematching someone he just brutally dominated last year. Emmanuel would only hurt his stock again like he did with Clottey.

This argument about who should get paid more is so ******ed.

    1. It's not like we're making any money off this fight so who ****ing cares.

    2. If anyone should be making more it's Mayweather. Now don't get all mad and throw a pissy fit. But from the financial aspect of it Mayweather IS the bigger draw. Against common opponents he sold more, on average of fights he sold more. That's the fact of the matter, he just plain sold more and there is no question about it.

These guys don't go into negotiation and say "but but Manny is more exciting". These guys are number people and so far the numbers are on Mayweathers side.

If you truly are unbiased you would see that. But this doesn't mean Manny is the better fighter or he is less exciting or any of that crap, it just means facts are facts and Mayweather has made more money for longer and there are facts to back that up end of.

In an ideal world, yeah it should be 50-50. But to anyone that's been around the sport for more than 2 years knows that Pac is the challenger here, and 55-45 60-40 is realistic.

we would be better off with 50-50 for this fight to get made. this was settled before during the first negotiations and there is nothing to suggest that pac has his drawing power diminished by getting 0.7M PPV against clottey and there is nothing to suggest that floyd is a better drawer now than last december when he made 1.4PPV against mosley.

but if pac accepted a 40/60 share or even a 30/70 share just to get this fight made, i'm fine with it as long as both fighters are fine. now if this fight is not made just because someone is asking much more than the other, then i would not hesitate to call on this as a move to avoid the fight.

How is that stupid???? Whats stupid is people who do not understand that the promoters, managers and fighters now ALL look at boxing as a business and all want what they deserve. That analogy, while very simple, is dead on accurate in this situation. If Floyd fights somebody next, and pac fights somebody next....say the opponents are basically equal draws, Floyds fight will sell more. This has been proven.

Ya know only fans of THESE 2 PARTICULAR BOXERS can argue all day on who should get the bigger purse, but FANS OF BOXING PERIOD LIKE MYSELF, would agree that a 50/50 split is fair and justified. I have seen more cheerleaders and nuthuggers on this site than any other site I be on. If your a Mayweather or Pac fan that is cool, no prob, but to sit here and talk about who should get the most money is ***** ****. Let these 2 fighters be men and fight for a 50/50 split or 60/40 for the winner. May trying to get more money is ***** ****. If you're a fan OF THE SPORT OF BOXING it should not matter who gets the bigger purse, you just wanna see a good fight. This topic is getting so old and played out.

:patsch I for one am not backing this 60/40 split but how can you fault Floyd for the first time around...Wasnt it Manny and his team that walked away from the deal in the first place when Floyd agreed to a 50/50 split???

So how can you say he's looking for a way out??:-(

the fact of the matter is, if manny knew he sold more ppvs he would be bargaining to have the lions share

you cannot blame floyd for saying 60 -40

in my opinion he should get 58-42, this is eident from higher ppv sales in all fights combined

all though pac has had more fights on ppv

from that alone any idiot would be able to realise why he warrants this much

now you need to stop arguing for pac like he is paying your sister for sexy time while you watch

    your clearly a smackhead

    tell me this

if you outsold another fighter in ppvs would you give him money you sweated your ass off for. when you are the bigger draw

i do want this to get made and am nt bothered who gets what but logic tells everyone and the numbers tell everyone that there is clearly someone who should take more

well 55%-60% of nothing isn't a hell of a lot now is it. And they already dealt with the split previously, so why change what has already been agreed to?
