HBO need someone who's a boxing person, ex-boxer, ex-trainer, because those announcers don't know much at all about the technical side of the sport. I half wonder if the reason they don't have boxers/trainers like they have in the past is because they get shown up. Lederman actually scored the second round to Oritz He shouldn't be aloud to keep a scorecard
Hell no, Atlas sucks. He could never call an unbiased fight against a K-Bro. I would rather see Mike Tyson a million times over. Nobody is going to talk **** to Mike.
It is very difficult to find ex boxers, that can speak articulately, imagine James Toney ringside as an announcer. :rofl
UK Sky boxing has plenty of boxers. In Mexico Marquez/Barrera often discuss boxing and give excellent top rate analysis Jones and Tarver were both very good. Steward although biased is good to listen too. Tyson's insight would be very good. Foreman despite not being the most intelligent boxer gave a fair bit of insight. Most people didn't like Lewis, I did. I wonder what Larry Holmes would be like, he'd probably ***** and moan more than Merchant He was always hating on Tyson, Foreman and Lennox. Imagine if they had a panel of Holmes and Atlas, they'd just moan about Tyson the whole time Now you need a presenter but you also need an expert or 2
I know people will turn this into a popularity contest (certain people don't like him because he picks against or has a negative point of view about their favorite fighter) but the fact is that Teddy knows boxing and is passionate about the sport. He can also call live action and knows how to score a fight properly. He would mesh very well with Roy.
