Floyd wants Marquez at 147? JMM says no

whats all this with JMM and PBf .

everybody JMM called out PBF if he wants the fight he needs to take it a what ever weight PBF chooses.

I've got to side with Floyd here. JMM called him out, what does he expect, that Floyd's coming down to 135?

 

They should meet at 140.
147 would be too much for JMM, but Floyd would still school him at 140.

I think anyone who'd defend Mayweather's track record post-135 as a guy who only wanted to fight the best would be disingenuine. If anything, though, I think at the time Floyd retired, there was more incentive for him to fight Cotto than anyone if he really wanted to fight the best.

It doesn't change in this particular instance, though, that Floyd is justified in wanting the fight to be at 147 if it happens. I don't think JMM should be looked at badly if he doesn't accept a big offer at 147. Frankly I wouldn't want that fight to happen at 147. I just think a Mayweather-Marquez fight sounds nice in the head, but logistically right now, it just doesn't make sense.

 

:yep:deal, Not trying to hate here but its kinda sad when people at your own weight class call you out and you choose to fight someone who isint even in your weight class (For those of you who don't know Marquez is a Lightweight which means a 12 lb jump). Unless he's going to fight Clottey, Cotto or Mosley he should stay "retired".

 

Floyd should just fight cotto or mosley. He has so much more to gain by beating those guys than beating marquez.

Williams was just starting to make a name for himself and is huge. I wouldn't blame PBF for not fighting a guy who just beat down an ATG and is a freak. PBF isn't alone nobody wants Williams.:deal

Winky another guy who I wouldn't blame PBF for not fighting and I've always said Winky would have beaten PBF when he was still at 154. Winky like Williams was ducked by many including Oscar.

and by you "not blaming" floyd for not fighting williams and wright makes my point....there was a chance he could lose or be in for a long night...so naturally went on to fight guys that he had the best chance of beating... smart? yes.... shows no balls...YES, makes you an all time great... NO

 

Ah yeah when you're fighting in your 5th weight class you catch some slack., He's fighting guys that are naturally larger than himself at 147 and 154. PBF is most remembered for the work he did in his best class 130 where he was a monster had no weakness and was the GOAT.:deal Quit ****ing hating man he's an ATG.:-(
