I'm not really one for believing that fighters often duck other opponents. It probably happens every now and again but the top level guys always seem pretty sound with their arguments.

Mayweathers excuses for not making the Pacquiao fight are starting to grate now though.

After watching Merchant interview him after last nights fight, he just kept changing the subject or repeating the same old crap about testing.

As Merchant said, Pacquiao is happy to obey the rules laid out by the commission but why should he have to obey Mayweathers rules?

I know this has been done to death but with an excellent win over Mosely why won't he loosen up and face Pacquiao?

Correct. The most important news item I took out of last night's fight is that Floyd is 100% prepared to duck Manny Pacquiao again. Sad, but not surprising given Floyd's pull-out vs Manny the first time around.

Good job by Merchant in extracting that information.

If anyone had any doubts at all that Floyd ducked Pac Man before, last night's post-fight interview should have disabused you of such concepts: Floyd wants nothing to do with Pacquiao.

I don't think he's ducking Pac, he's just trying to grab as many advantages as he possibly can. It's not enough that Pacquiao is fighting in his weight at 147 (people all too often forget this), but he wants to disrupt his training regime too in the lead up to the fight.

Mayweather put on an offensive showcase after getting blood tested, tell Pacquiao to stop praying to his chicken bone voodoo god and catch up the 21st century. Blood testing doesn't weaken anyone except people who can't use PEDs.

Damn Rico....I have always respected you as a Poster, But that statement is RIDICULOUS!!!! Is Pacquiao a Welterweight or not???? Roach and Pacquiao had NO problems fight Oscar at 147lbs and Clottey at 147lbs (Clottey who came in on fight-night at over 160lbs by the way)....So Now according to you, if Pacquiao fights Mayweather, it's at HIS WEIGHT??? Its not at his weight....IT'S AT WELTERWEIGHT!!!!

And does anyone remember the line Roach used after the Cotto fight when asked about the possibility of a fight with Mayweather..."We need more time to prepare for Mayweather's style". Meaning...THEY HAD NO F***ING INTENTIONS OF FIGHTING FLOYD MARCH 13TH. If they were fighting some stationary target Hatton, Clottey, Cotto, Marquez...etc, they can prepare for those fights in a week (because it's all he fights). They have NEVER stepped into the ring with a fighter that is as GIFTED OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY as Mayweather.

Pacquiao needs Floyd at this point, not vice versa. I don't see why he'd be scared of a smaller guy than Shane with less technical skill, power and a softer chin. Stop the hate and lets keep it real. If you're clean, take the tests. End of story.

Mayweather agreed to all of Manny's and camps request. Floyd ask for a simple request and Manny and his camp didn't agree. The fight did not happen because of MANNY!!!!

All PBF wants is a level playing field to make sure he isn't on PEDs. WTF is wrong with you people?

He has agreed to testing though. Just not at the beck and call of Mayweather. The commission are there to set rules such as these and their testing has been deemed as acceptable for all fighters.

Why does Floyd seem to think he should be allowed to demand more?

Personally I think Floyd is using this to psychologically "get one up" but it backfired a little. I dont think he can mentally face someone as good as Pacquiao without believing he has an advantage.

By Mosley agreeing to the blood tests he has set a standard for all other boxers. Floyd camp will say " If Mosley took them, why cant you?" Floyd took the tests just like Mosley did and he put a masterful performance so the blood tests had no effect on him. Pac needs to agree to this blood tests if he really wants Floyd.
