Its quite clear that Oscar made both these guys as PPV attractions.

Floyds fight with Baldomir did under 400,000. His next fight with Oscar did 2.4million. I don't remember Mayweather/Baldomir being that exciting that it would attract an extra 2million for his next fight.

Same goes for Pacquiao. The David diaz fight did around 250,000. His next fight with Oscar did 1.25million.

    Holyfield/Foreman 1.4 million
    Tyson/Holyfield 1.6
    Lewis/Tyson 1.9 (Lewis was the a side)
    Lewis/Evander 1.2

so how do you decipher this? Do you think Lewis brought in more viewers than Tyson did?

I see your point, but, it may be oversimplifying things.

When has Oscar EVER had a PPV event this big, in his many appearances on PPV? NEVER. There's been no other fight of Oscar's that was/is close. It couldn't be ALL Oscar who drew the interest of 2.4 million households. So, giving the A side all the credit and the B side zero credit is not giving the true picture.

If we were to consider a percentage of who was more responsible for making the PPV that successful. It might be 60% Oscar and 40% Floyd, or perhaps 65% Oscar and 35% Floyd, since Oscar was the bigger name, at the time.

In any case, when people speak of Oscar's PPV prowess they will cite his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Conversely, when people speak of Floyd's PPV prowess they will cite his fight with Oscar De La Hoya.

Who was the A or B side, at that time, loses its meaning, since both men are huge names in the sport, now.

Why? Because Ortiz and Mosley is far more dangerous fight than Clottey?

**** kid all you can do is pick your argument from the past.

Oh your right, Margarito was a highly dangerous 154lb champ when Pac fought him.... uh no that doesnt sound right. Was he even the champ? as a matter of fact was that even at 154?

And we all know Clottely was way more of a dangerous opponent than Shane has ever been. Just look how he had Pac on ***** street in the second round

    Youngun

P.s. My machobuck pup has more scratch in him than you:bbb

Floyd is the man and calls the shots.
Pac is not the man, never will be despite, the aggresive marketing campain to sell him as the good guy.
