Even if Pac wanted to leave Arum he can't because of his contract with him. He would have to wait till its over to not renew it. Plus its not only Arum, its also Floyd with those ridiculous demands and offerings.

Hell yes, I would take that offer. $40 million is still the highest payday of my career. Mayweather can have his filthy money. He won't be able to enjoy it because his first loss to me would be engraved on his mind for the rest of his life. The chance to kick his ass is worth more than monetary goods. My legacy is already solidified, I'm already a millionaire, my family is well taken care of. Why the hell would I care about how much Mayweather makes? I just want to beat him.

As for Arum, FFS I cannot understand why Pac needs a ****ing promoter. You're a God in the Philippines, a big time celebrity in the US and everywhere else. Why in the ****ing world would you still need to depend on an old man who takes a large percentage of your purse? Be a leader. You're already a damn congressman. Act like one. BUY OUT THAT CONTRACT.

Mindset varies from person to person. I'm sure most would just say **** it and give but when it comes to the filthy rich/differences in culture, etc, I think the principle of the matter and notions of self-worth may be more important to him. We won't know because we're not filthy rich top P4P fighters ourselves. That's why I never buy into that "why doesn't he take 40m for a drug test" nonsense

As for the 2nd part. Agree 100%, as long as there's no weird **** involved in buying out the contract (such as you gotta pay 30m to buy it out)

Manny should be able to buy his freedom from Arum. Like in the 1800s

No one seems to know the details of this contract- how much time/fights left, how much to buy it out, etc... Arum is a marionette and a shadow at the same time

40 mil is a bad idea? Hey dumb ass, keep up. Manny gets a guarantee for 7.5 for his fight and Floyd gets 32. That is to simple to you guys to **** up. What is your huge reason why giving him 40 mil is a bad deal? because hes not getting a cut of the PPV???
Okay so lets do this, somebody tell me Pacs largest guarantee has been. Then lets say he will get that as a guarantee for the Floyd fight. Then he gets a cut of the PPV. Now, do you think that will be 40 mil? Youre ****in dreaming. Look how much Floyd got for being the dance partner in the record 2.4 PPV, You people really need to wake up.
40 MIL IS A VERY GRACIOUS OFFER COMING FROM SOMEONE THAT JUST HAD A GUARANTEE OF 32.

Can we stop the 7.5 million nonsense already?

Pac got Paid over $20 million for JMM 3. You losers can lie, you can exaggerate, you can fantasize, but you can never run away from the truth. Floyd is preventing this fight from happening.

I agree with everyone saying Pac should buy out his contract.. like really.... does this guy need a promoter???... He just needs a manager.... and act like Floyd and Cotto.... just work with promoters.

Oscar Floyd is not comparable to Floyd Pac. Pac made $50m over 2 fights last year:

    http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/7858863/racing-boxing-highest-paying-sports-espn-magazine

$40m is less than $30m after Arum's cut. You expect Pac to make the Floyd fight for $3m more than he got for JMM?

hmmm... almost 90% think Floyd's offer is not as fair as Pac's 50/50 split.
