Actually, as poor a match as Sharmba was for a Mayweather making his welterweight debut, I recall that his southpaw jab did irritate Floyd mildly through the course of that bout - I reckon Floyd had had about enough of his defiance when he switched stances out of a clinch and popped him in the mouth with a sweet left cross (5th round, I think), Sharmba wasn't long for the fight after that.

His gloves were loaded you ****ing fool. Who did margo hurt or stop after he was busted and suspended for loaded gloves? His power magically disappeared. He was **** without his magic gloves and never had a win of note again. Lmfao at margo being better than jlc you really show your lack of knowledge of boxing by saying this. Jlc was a p4p top 10 fighter for years and is arguably one of the best light weights of his era. Margo isnt considered to be the best of anything other than being considered one of the best cheats of his era. Margo being better than jlc lmfao log off.

 

Margarito's chin was ****ing awesome. He also was known for having the ability to go on and on and on nonstop. He was hard to deal with because he would wear people down with his durability and non stop work.

 

He never fought someone as complete and great as pbf. Hes too slow too limited to beat a guy who's not there to be hit and doesnt fade like pbf.

 

Floyd faded in the first JLC fight. Floyd took almost all the early rounds and then he began to tire as the pressure of JLC began wearing down his body.

The problem with fading against Margarito is that will end in a TKO due to the sheer size of Margarito.

 

I respectfully, but strongly, challenge that assertion;

They had skill and at least alil defense Margo had zero defense and is slower than both the guys

 

Pbf had a bad shoulder in that fight he has never been known to fade. In the rematch when healthy he won it going away. Pbf would not fade his stamina is one of his biggest strengths he maintains his speed throughout the course of a fight.

 

So then why then when faced with the non stop pressure of JLC did he begin to run out of gas? It's ok, dealing with pressure is a difficult thing to do and sometimes fighters fade. It happens, the fight was Televised. You saw it, I saw it and anybody who wants to watch it can go on YouTube and watch it too. The fact is he faded and won a disputed decision. Those are the facts.

Now imagine a bigger, stronger, tougher, more relentless machine coming at Floyd that night. He probably does not make it all 12 rounds.

 

Highly doubtful. If floyd won, it would be through as little exchange as he could get away with. He sure as heck didn't do much to Baldomir now did he? Maidana? Did berto get hospitalized?

 

Dude...there's no reason to get back in to this discussion. There's been a ton said on this already. What I do know is, Floyd and GBP had nothing to do with the scandal. Place the blame where it belongs.

 

Floyd would build up a lead through the first half or so, and the combination of his toughness and wiliness I think would be enough for him to survive the difficult later rounds, which is why I'd still favor him to win a decision. But I maintain that Margarito would've been the most physically gruelling and exhausting assignment of his career and that the possibility of an upset is there.

 

Which is exactly why Mayweather was not interested in Margarito.
