that fake retirement by floyd was purely a duck move. he knew all along that he would come back when them cherries ripen.
Like i said if you been following floyd's career you would know from 2006 he was planning on retiring from the sport. After the baldomir fight he said this. "One more fight, then that's it for me," Mayweather told an emotional news conference in which he repeatedly broke down in tears.
He "retired" when the WW division was red hot, and came back after everybody beat the **** out of eachother. You do the math. He also came back looking like he pumped himself full of steroids. The funny thing is once PAcquiao arrived on the scene, he went back on 'vacation' again. :rofl
:rofl What was red hot about the division at the time? Cotto losing to Magro? Williams losing to Quintana? Mosley beating Mayorga?
So it's clear now, he retired to duck the welterweights in 08-09. Floyd should have received an award 'Ducker of the Decade award'.
2005-2007/8 the welterweight division was loaded. This was when prime Paul Williams, Margarito, and Cotto before he got bricked were all after Mayweather. Everybody in here knows why he retired
Cotto was after mayweather? Cotto has gone on record to admit he never looked for the mayweather fight, so what the **** you talking about? As for Paul Williams, he already knew that fight was not gonna happen and if you know the sport you would already know why that was. I don't have to spell it out for you. Margo is the only guy who wanted to fight floyd and that guy is now known as a ****ing cheat.:deal
I thinkd it was his hands bothering him, he had been complaining about them for a couple of years before. This thread writer proves his newest to boxing by saying he ran from mosley and cotto. It was Margo and Williams it seemed he ran from. Cotto and Mosley were both called out by Mayweather and both made excuses. Go back and watch some tapes see if the have some after fight interviews. Cotto said he wasn't ready when called out at 140 by Mayweather, and Cotto at the time was considered to be the best at 140. Mosley, he had a tooth ache and wanted to go on vacation, in other words he never really gave an answer. Just politely avoided the question.
