    Spud, you're 15.

You've never even seen a contract.

Yeah, the actual contract details is what matters. I haven't made or shared an opinion this entire second negotiation because it's pointless. I went through it the first time and learned that you can't make an educated opinion on the matter until well after it's over.

However, given recent events I'm more inclined to believe that Arum is trying to pull the same thing he did last time. Publicity to his Top Rank website with the money clock and speaking to the press about other opponents leads me to believe he's just using Mayweather (again) to publicize Top Rank and Manny vs Margarito.

Bottom line is this fight isn't done yet....and it's b/c of the difficulties during the negotiation process which is why we are even debating.

Who is to blame? You know me.....I'm calling it like I see it. I see who creates the obstacles and who isn't. I try to keep it simple. Those who try to make it more complex usually are defending a moot point.

Fans just want to see the fight. Floyd is the one who seems to have all the reasons NOT to fight. And the fact that you are trying to say Manny fights losers is only placing Floyd in the same boat. Not sure what you are trying to prove but you do you.:yep

There have been talks of Floyd fighting Cotto or Marg too....guys he's seemingly been able to avoid by facing guys like Baldomir and JMM...:?...Seriously bro it's almost comical how hard you are trying to no avial.

But of course I respect your stance.....you at least give some solid statements to back your **** up....i just don't feel it's more logical than my own point of view.. To each their own I say. At the end of the day Floyd can clear up a lot of the debates that are going on pertaining to this situation so lets hope we all get this fight boxing needs.:good

    What??
Purse splits have been historically in favor of the bigger star in the media.

Society and the media are actually dictating the purse splits because they create the interest.

Floyd and Manny are perceived as the top biggest attractions in any combat sport, so they are both pretty much in demand by any and all competition in order for other fighters to make their biggest payday.

Jones jr Hopkins 2 didn't happen for a long time because roy jones wanted 60/40 while he was the biggest star, however hopkins had established himself as a premier figure in boxing too, and felt he was worth half.

You're not even legally allowed to sign most contracts, are you kidding me?

Don't try to pull the wool on me, I was 15 once.

There is no 1 guy selling the most ppv's.

    Fights have 2 players.

No 1 guy is doing jack ****.

according to the media floyd is the bigger star, on at&t advertsiements. society an media can hype up a fight but only numbers can suport who is in control.

its lke saying a fighter who isnt champion but on ppv draws 2 million and then the champion draws in 500,000. the media is pulling the fight but who is more recognised out of the above two.

    who deserves more?

What would the ppv numbers be to watching pacquiao vs a fighter who is 0-0 be?
What would floyd's ppv numbers be?

I'm pretty sure pacquiao would get more just based on being more exciting and more of an action fighter.

In my opinion, this fight only exists with these 2 guys.
Neither one is worth nearly as much without the other.

If either one asked for 60/40 and the other said no, I would understand.
