The guy's getting up there in age. He just took on an undefeated Unified Jr Middleweight champion with a 15 pound weight advantage and a 13 year youth advantage. Swept him, and virtually made him look like an amateur. A guy that EVERYONE would say he'd never fight. Word is he's taking Khan for his next fight. Which would be a tune up because by that time he'll had been out of the ring for 8 months, and he'll be giving up an 11 year age advantage. On top of that he's a guy who doesnt rehydrate at all. So he wont have this amazing weight advantage. Khan rehydrated to 150 from 139 in his fight with Garcia. Floyd had a fightnight weight of 150 against Canelo. Does the guy get any breaks? Does he have to give up weight and size in every fight? Is he not entitled to a tuneup for a bigger fight in September 14? Or has he outgrown the right to have tuneups?

    Will people ever

    A) accept his greatness.
    B) stop the "ducking" nonsense.
    C) stop demanding fights as if boxing isn't a business
    D) Give the man his credit and stop being blinded by hate?

I'm with the TS on this one... be that as it may, i sure as fuk hope Floyd doesn't fight Amir Khan next, unless Khan shows the balls to take on Alexander first so that he will have at least done SOMETHING to earn it

And for all the talk about "Floyd shouldn't have to fight middleweights", well, i agree that nobody can justifiably demand it of him, but at the same time, is Sergio Martinez really any bigger than Canelo? And wouldn't it be great to see Mayweather try to pull off such an immensely historical feat as lifting the lineal middleweight title?

Why can't Sergio do something historic like lift the light heavyweight title.??

Floyd's been lifting titles from 130 to 154...

Let's see somebody else dare to be great....for a change.:hi:

I don't get all this he should fight this guy over that guy and so on... It seems Floyd gets criticized more than anyone in this regard.

Every great fighter has taken on less challenges over time. Not everyone fights the very best all the time, it never happen that way. There is always less challenges in between.

Oscar: After Mosley he fought Sturm. After Mayweather he fought Forbes. After Vargas he fought Luis Campus.

PAC: He is fighting Brandon Rios.

Mosley: Antonio Diaz, Shannon Taylor, Adrien Stone

The list goes on and on.
