Khan is an intteresting fight for me, but a lot of people are going to miss that fight. Fighting Maidana off this win is a much better option. He can market it as a revenge fight, hype it up like he took it personal that he beat his protege. And the casual fan right now probably thinks that Maidana is some killer. On top of that he'll have a chance to unify belts.

I think this fight gets made, and honestly Maidana is tailor made for Floyd. But to the casual fan right now, he has a shot which means $$$$.

    Opinions?

God I hope not. Khan is a harder fight stylistically than Maidana is.

I agree. Atleast Maidana is on a winning streak v decent opposition as well compared to Khan.

This fight would interest casuals more.

I know that, but to the casual fan Maidana's stock is at an all time high. That fight would do at least 1.3 after that performance.

Khan does better, but right now I think Maidana sells better.

And Showtime and FLoyd, just want the cake.

    Also Maidana has a belt.

i think mayweather would win but i would see alot of similarities in floyd getting frustrated with maidana catching him a lot of forearms, pushing and clinching, headbutts etc etc

Yep. Maidana is an easier fight for him style-wise, and will also draw bigger numbers at this point. It's perfect for him. I think this was the reason they have been holding off on signing contracts with Khan; they were waiting to see if Maidana would pull the upset. The storyline is already in place: Maidana has beaten Floyd's little bro and now big bro has to get revenge.

Mayweather vs Maidana for May, with Garcia vs Malignaggi on the undercard. Watch

For what, Maidina just beat a lightweight in Broner. Floyd said he doesn't like to fight a lightweight.

What is this myth about amir khan? Seen all the guys pro bouts, and this guy has what over floyd? height/ speed/ skills! Stop the madness folks. He has nothing whatsoever in his armoury to trouble floyd! Would floyd struggle with prescott/ garcia/ peterson? Why does amir not avenge his defeats?

There is no fighter between 140-154 that I favour to beat Floyd but he has to fight someone. Maidana has earned his shot more than Khan.

The khan bout is set, maiadana a threat? stop this nonsense. Why must he step up to box big middleights/ supermiddleweights! When, ggg, martinez, hopkins, do not mentions wards name at all? When you are top of the hill, you make decisions that suit you and not some fan who takes no punches whatsoever, but who sit behind keyboards criticising boxers!

Floyd would embarrass Madaina the way Broner was supposed to.

    Hope so.

Maidana will get thoroughly outboxed by Floyd, but at least he deserved the payday by giving the boxfans a very good night.
