FLOYD will face danny garica next...

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by at1, May 7, 2013.

  1. I actually think it's one of the better fights for Floyd with respect to the 140 pounders he would have come up to 147.

I called it when Garcia was doing his interview after KOing Khan. Floyd will win easily of course, but Garcia deserves the fight and Angel will sell the ****ing **** out of it.

Should be entertaining. I'm not gonna be one of those guys shitting on Floyd for this one. (I'll **** on him for fighting Khan though).

the tourney is already signed up bro. Now they can always put Mayweather money up but they want a huge fight a week before the Mayweather/Canelo fights. Garcia vs Lucas or Peterson is a HUGE fight. Schafer already said that if garcia can win that fight then maybe 1 or 2 more guys then next fall would be HUGE!!

  3. Anybody hoping for a fight with Canelo at 154 are gonna be pissed... Floyd will never do it.

Canelo is too big. Floyd will fight smaller, older 154 guys like Cotto all day... but the ginger kid is 22 and rehydrates way too much for Floyd to risk the fight. He's gonna have Showtime's 140s step up to 147 one by one for his last 5 fights, its 99% guaranteed.

99% is a big number. Showtime might really push Canelo if the PPV buys were under a Million. Might be what the boxing world needs to make the fight happen. Then Mayweather-Canelo 2 next May because who ever loses is gonna want a rematch

Canelo could push him more then an 09 Pacquiao. even that Pacquiao couldnt mess with counterpunchers. just because he beat a sorry DLH and made Cotto come in at a catch weight doesnt mean he could beat counterpuncher. the only counterpunchers hes ever fought the last 8 years has been Marquez. and how many fights did he win in that series. Now u know

I agree with the premise that there aren't 6 guys who have a chance unless you start naming Middle weight's, but if your trying to "sell" a viable opponent Garcia can't duck the winner of this match up, I personally think Mathysse beats Garcia as do a lot of people, if he's as good as he's getting hyped to be he should get that fight next Sept but I think the next two are Alvarez in Sept (only person who isn't tied up with a potential fight) and Alexander in May after he ko's kahn

I give Canelos props, he got the decision over Trout but Danny has beaten the higher caliber fighters. To be honest, I think Danny is a more rounded fighter than Canelo. The only advantage Canelo really has is his power.:bbb

I don't think it'll be Canelo next, because Mayweather has five fights left on his contract, and I don't see why the biggest, most lucrative fight he could make would be made so soon when there are more remaining on his contract. I'm betting it'll be Danny Garcia next.

Dont know why everyone says Danny would have no chance...He would have a better chance then Robert thats for sure.

Danny beat one of the guys who gave floyd the most trouble n Zab Judah and over the first 4 rounds where Zab s usually best...he completely had him frozen and unable to throw punches. He also knocked out the guy with the fastest hands he has faced in Khan...

Danny knows how to adjust, is smarter then people think, and has AMAZING timing, Angel is a good trainer. It wouldnt be a horrible fight.

worst fight ever. Canelo, bradley or even a rematch with ortiz would be a much better fight.

I could see it happening.. Floyd was smart getting that guarantee deal, he knows it's not too much competition around his weight. Whoop a couple asses, collect a couple checks. Sucks it's nobody his weight, not with Top Rank, that would give him fits. Garcia should beat Peterson-Matthysse winner first, but I guess we'll see.

No fight out there that people won't complain about besides Alvarez, and that's because he's so much bigger than Floyd while still being skilled. And even then Floyd would be the betting favorite.

Canelo isnt as explosive or with the workrate as pac 09. Plus the only thing canelo has over pac is size.

The only way to beat mayweather aside from a lucky punch is workrate and that is what pac always had
