Mayweather fight a young hungry champion that's bigger than him. Yeah right.

me too. no way is floyd taking a fight this tough when he's got guaranteed money from showtime.

And hos fans have never clamoured for him to make the tough fights.

They'll be happy with alexander, Garcia or Maidana next.

If Cotto tagged Floyd, imagine what a 171 pounds Canelo could do to him. I'd like to watch this fight but let's be honest here, this wouldn't be much of a fair fight. Canelo would be the much bigger man. However, if PBF takes the fight and beats Canelo, it really would cement his legacy.

You guys are nuts. Wide UD Mayweather 11-1 or 12-0. Canelo would hit Mayweather with three decent shots in 12 rounds. He is way too slow to hit Floyd and way too easy to hit for Floyd. He can't use the size advantage fighting backwards and how can he put on a good pressure fight taking half the round off. It's not a contest, Garcia would be a tougher fight for Mayweather.

So this is what *******s are reduced to?

Get in a thread about fighter X who just had a big win and is the talk of the moment and spew some drivel about how fighter X will never be able to achieve what Pacquiao has ...

You feed the stereotype w/this ****, man.

    It's sad and pathetic.

Canelo is too big for PBF. He came in last night at 172 at 154 PBF would come in at 152 or less and would be outweighed by 20 pounds or more. It's ridiculous to even think he should fight a guy who would dwarf him in the ring on fight night especially at this age. PBF should stay at 147 or retire.

Agreed. Pretty Boy will school Canelo (even with Floyd being past his prime).

He might be younger, but Canelo has nowhere near the footwork of Floyd (even now with Pretty Boy past his prime). Floyd will dance circles around him, beating him similar to how he beat Hatton. And please don't tell me Cinnamon is going to win a boxing match. Canelo will last till the 12th, has has good defense too (but does not seem to have great stamina).

I admit I feel Floyd needs to fight Canelo but I never understood why Pacq fans would exempt Pacquiao from taking on those kind of challenges. Floyd had/has to face Williams, Martinez, and/or Alvarez while Pacquiao could enjoy his slew of slow and/or drained fighters with no complaint.

No. Floyd does not need to fight Canelo. At this point in his career he does not need to fight anyone really. He just landed a deal with Showtime, expect taxi cab drivers etc.. until he retires (or loses to someone mediocre cause he's old).

People will give him millions for these C fighters I dont get it but Canelo/Floyd is the biggest fight that could be made now. If his nickname is "Money" then that fight should be his main priority after Guerrero. For all we know he could face Alvarez and dominate him then me saying this will only proof that Mayweather is to the standard he should be held at. He's 36 there's been older fighters taking more risks at/past that age. And athleticism may fade but his skills are still there.

Not gonna lie I love seeing Mayweather fight but theres just no excuse as to why this fight shouldn't happen unless(forbid) one of them gets injured during training camp or Floyd gets a major injury after Guerrero. Another one would be if Guerrero knocks Mayweather out brutally(not happening).
